Abstract: 视觉动词是动词的重要组成部分,动词“看”在汉泰语中义项丰富,基本义皆指“使视线接触人或物”,在现代汉语和泰语中除了基本义之外,还有多个引申义。通过分析汉泰两种语言中“看”字基本义和引申义的情况,对比各义项中的概念要素的异同,发现汉泰“看”字基本义相似度极高,多个引申义存在相同或相似之处,同时引申义也有一定的不同之处。
Visual verbs are an essential component of verbs. The verb "kan" has a wide range of meanings in both Chinese and Thai, with the basic meaning being "to bring the sight into contact with a person or object" and various derived meanings in contemporary Chinese and Thai. The basic meanings of the word "kan" in Chinese and Thai are very similar, and many of its derived meanings are the same or similar, while some derived meanings also have some differences. By analysing the basic and derived meanings of the word "kan" in both languages and comparing the similarities and differences of the conceptual elements in each meaning, we find that these basic meanings are very similar. Additionally, several of the derived meanings differ.
