ทัศนคติของนักศึกษาชาวจีนที่มีต่อชื่อภาษาไทย

Abstract

การศึกษาเชิงสำรวจครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาทัศนคติของนักศึกษาชาวจีนที่มีต่อการเลือกใช้ชื่อภาษาไทย โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาชาวจีนชั้นปีที่ 3-4 สาขาวิชาเอกภาษาไทย ที่มาศึกษาหลักสูตร ศศ.บ. การสื่อสารภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาที่สอง คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ จำนวน 100 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามแสดงความคิดเห็นเป็นเครื่องมือในการศึกษา เพื่อนำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์หาค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยและค่าร้อยละในแต่ละประเด็น ซึ่งผลจากการศึกษาจะทำให้มองเห็นปัจจัยสำคัญในการตั้งชื่อภาษาไทยของนักศึกษาชาวจีนและสามารถนำไปใช้เป็นแนวทางในการตั้งชื่อภาษาไทยให้แก่นักศึกษาชาวจีนต่อไป ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตั้งชื่อภาษาไทยให้แก่นักศึกษาชาวจีน ได้แก่ (1) ผู้ตั้งชื่อภาษาไทย โดยนักศึกษาชาวจีนร้อยละ 74 ต้องการให้อาจารย์คนไทยเป็นผู้ตั้งชื่อให้ รองลงมา คือ เจ้าของภาษาหรือบุคคลที่ตนรู้จัก ตั้งด้วยตนเอง และเพื่อนคนไทยเป็นผู้ตั้งตามลำดับ และ (2) เงื่อนไขสำคัญในการตั้งชื่อภาษาไทยให้นักศึกษาชาวจีน เรียงลำดับความสำคัญจากค่าเฉลี่ยมากไปน้อย ได้แก่ ความหมายดี เสียงคำไพเราะ ความสอดคล้องกับเพศ การออกเสียงคำง่าย ความแปลกใหม่ หลักโหราศาสตร์ ความรู้สึกคุ้นเคย และจำนวนพยางค์ รวมถึงเรื่องรูปพยัญชนะ ซึ่งสิ่งเหล่านี้สะท้อนให้เห็นว่านักศึกษาชาวจีนให้ความสำคัญกับชื่อภาษาไทยมาก เพื่อให้เกิดความมั่นใจที่จะแนะนำตัวด้วยชื่อภาษาไทย และให้ชื่อเป็นสิ่งแสดงลักษณะเฉพาะของตนเอง

The survey of this paper aimed to study an attitude of Chinese student toward Thai naming. In this study, the informants were 100 Chinese students who studying in third and fourth years in university. The informants have studied in Bachelor Degree majoring in Thai Communication as a Second Language, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University. The instrument of this study was questionnaire. The data were analyzed for average and percentage in each issue. The result of this study emphasized on a major factor in the Thai naming of Chinese students and could be used as a guideline to name in Thai language for Chinese students. The results of this study indicate that the factors that affect in giving the Chinese students names : 1) the person who gives the Thai names. 74 Percent of the informants would like a Thai teacher to name them, next native speaker or people who knew their name, named by themselves, and Thai’s friends respectively. In addition, (2) the issues that needed to be taken into account in Thai naming prioriticise from the most to the least including meaning, melodiousness, congruence with gender, simple pronunciation, novelty, hororscope, familiarity, syllable and consonant form. These things could reflect that Chinese students focused on naming in Thai language so that they had a self-confidence to introduce themselves as a Thai name and showed their identify.
