การคงอยู่ของวิถีชีวิตของพ่อค้าแม่ค้าคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในตลาดสามชุก 100 ปี อำเภอสามชุก จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี

Abstract

บทความวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการคงอยู่ของวิถีชีวิตของพ่อค้าแม่ค้าคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในตลาดสามชุก 100 ปี อำเภอสามชุก จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เก็บข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสังเกตและการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 40 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงเนื้อหาและนำเสนอผลการศึกษาแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยพบวิถีชีวิตที่พ่อค้าแม่ค้าคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในพื้นที่วิจัยยังคงสืบทอดและปฏิบัติกันอยู่ 7 ด้าน ได้แก่ ร้านค้า สินค้า อาหารการกิน การแต่งกาย การใช้ภาษา ธรรมเนียมประเพณี ศาสนาและความเชื่อ โดยพบลักษณะของการคงอยู่ 2 ประการ คือ การคงอยู่แบบดั้งเดิม ไม่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดจากการเห็นคุณค่าของสิ่งเหล่านี้ในฐานะมรดกทางวัฒนธรรม ทำให้เกิดความภาคภูมิใจในความเป็นจีน และการคงอยู่แบบผสมผสานที่เกิดจากการรับวัฒนธรรมของคนไทยมาใช้ และพบปัจจัยที่ทำให้วิถีชีวิตทั้ง 7 ด้านยังคงอยู่ 5 ประการ ได้แก่ สมาชิกในครอบครัว ชุมชน สมาคมชาวจีน หน่วยงานภาครัฐและท้องถิ่น และหน่วยงานนอกชุมชน โดยพบว่าสมาชิกในครอบครัวเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญยิ่งต่อการคงอยู่ของวิถีชีวิต เพราะเป็นการเรียนรู้ ถ่ายทอดจากประสบการณ์ตรงด้วยการสอนและการทำให้ดูเป็นแบบอย่าง และชุมชนมีความเข้มแข็งที่เกิดจากความร่วมใจของคนในชุมชน

This research article aims to study the existence in the ways of life of Thai-Chinese traders in the Sam Chuk Market 100 years old in Sam Chuk District, Supanburi Province. Qualitative research methodology is applied. Data is gathered by observation and interviewing of forty informants. Research findings are reported as a content and descriptive analysis. The research finds seven aspects of living the Thai-Chinese traders have been preserving and practicing, including stores; products; foods; clothing; language; traditions; and religion and beliefs. Two characteristics of the existence of the community observed are the traditional style, without changes due to the pride of being Chinese and the values of their ways of life, and the adaptive style, compromising to Thai culture. Five factors supporting the existence of the seven aspects of living include family members; the community; Chinese association; local and governmental sectors; and the outside parties. Two key factors are family members, since the existence of ways of life is subjected to learning and handing over direct experiences or showing the examples; and the firm union of the community.
