Abstract: This research studied antibacterial activity of extracts from four types of scleractinian corals; Ring coral (Favia speciosa), Staghorn coral (Acropora formosa), Foliose (Pavona decussate) and Staghorn coral (Acropora millepora) were supported from Marine Science Activity and Conservation Foundation (MACF), Chonburi province. Corals were extracted with methanol, ethyl acetate and hexane by using Maceration method, and then tested on its action with Agar disc diffusion, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC), respectively. The results showed the highest of clear zone received extracts from Favia speciosa in methanol as solvent gave 33.40+-0.72 mm. for inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus and the extracts from Acropora Formosa in ethyl acetate showed inhibition of Salmonella Typhimurium (15.87+-1.52 mm.). In addition, the study of MIC and MBC on pathogenic bacteria showed the extracts from Acropora millepora in ethyl acetate had a highest inhibitory effect on Vibrio parahaemolyticus which had the MIC and MBC values equally were 0.98 ug/ml and 3.9 ug/ml concentration, respectively.
