การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจสถานภาพการใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์เป็นนวัตกรรมการประชาสัมพันธ์ขององค์กรธุรกิจเอกชนในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อสำรวจสถานภาพการดำเนินงานประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านการสื่อสารเครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ขององค์กรธุรกิจเอกชนในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร ผู้วิจัยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน คือ การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การวิจัยเชิงปริมาณโดยใช้การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลวิจัยพบว่า การใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์เป็นนวัตกรรมการประชาสัมพันธ์ขององค์กรธุรกิจเริ่มต้นจากการศึกษาผลกระทบ กำหนดวัตถุประสงค์ องค์ประกอบ กระบวนการ และกำหนดกลยุทธ์ของการจัดการเปลี่ยนแปลง วางนโยบายการใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ กำหนดวัตถุประสงค์ และการประยุกต์ใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ ภาระงานประชาสัมพันธ์ บทบาทในการปฏิบัติงาน และกลยุทธ์การประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านการสื่อสารเครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ องค์กรธุรกิจใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์เป็นเทคโนโลยีเชิงข่าวสารเพื่อการประชาสัมพันธ์ "มากที่สุด" ภาระงานประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านการสื่อสารเครือข่ายออนไลน์ในระดับ "มาก" คือ งานเผยแพร่ข่าวสาร การดำเนินงานประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านการสื่อสารเครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ในระดับ "มาก" คือ การอัพเดทข้อมูล/ข่าวสารการประชาสัมพันธ์ นักประชาสัมพันธ์มีบทบาทเป็นนักสื่อสารองค์กร บทบาทบริหารสถานการณ์ บทบาทสร้างความสัมพันธ์ในระดับ "มาก"
The research aimed to study the status of the use of online social media as an PR innovation of the private sectors in Bangkok, to study the status of PR operations through online social media of the private sectors in Bangkok, and to study the platforms of the use of online social media, the objectives of the use of online social media, the platforms of PR and the PR content via online social media site of the private sectors in Bangkok. The research combined qualitative and quantitative approacged into 3 steps as follows: (1) Qualitative research by in-depth interview (2) Quantitative research by survey research and (3) Quantitative research by content analysis. The following were the research findings: Online social media has been used as an PR innovation of the private sector in Bangkok with the specific directions of the impacts, the objectives, the components and the processes to get the expected results. The private sector has employed change management and the policy of the use of online social media as PR innovation. It was also found out that they have specfically determined the tasks and PR practitioners' roles and PR strategies for social media uses. The private sector in Bangkok used online social media as information technology for PR. Facebook was ranked most frequently used. PR task ranked most frequently on social media was announcements. PR daily operation ranked most frequently was updating the information and PR news release. PR practitioners' roles and duties ranked most frequently on soical media included corporate communication, change management, and facilitation of interactions and relationships.
