ประวัติศาสตร์ไทยสมัยกรุงธนบุรี : ศึกษาจากเอกสารจีน

Abstract

ประวัติศาสตร์สมัยกรุงธนบุรี แม้มีระยะเวลาช่วงสั้น ๆ เพียง 15 ปี แต่ก็เป็นช่วงเวลาที่สำคัญที่สุดและเข้มข้นที่สุดช่วงหนึ่งของประเทศไทย เพราะมีเหตุการณ์ที่เป็นช่วงหัวเลี้ยวหัวต่อของชาติบ้านเมืองหลายเหตุการณ์ด้วยกัน จากการศึกษาจากเอกสารฝ่ายไทย มีข้อจำกัดอยู่มากงานประวัติศาสตร์ในช่วงดังกล่าวจึงขาดความคมชัด การนำเอกสารฝ่ายจีนมาพิจารณาศึกษาประกอบ จึงนับเป็นการนำเสนอแนวทางในการสืบค้นเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ และช่วยเพิ่มให้ประวัติศาสตร์ช่วงนั้นมีความครบถ้วนสมบูรณ์ยิ่งขึ้นอีกทางหนึ่ง โดยเฉพาะทำให้เราทราบพระวิสัยทัศน์อันกว้างไกลของพระเจ้ากรุงธนบุรี ต่อการดำเนินวิเทโศบายทางการทูตและการค้ากับประเทศจีนในช่วงเวลานั้นได้เป็นอย่างดี

The history of Thonburi Period of Thailand only lasted 15 years, but it is an important and critical moment in the History of Thailand Because a tremendous turn in so many courses of events was happened which hanging the future and destiny of the State and Nation. But the researching works have not gotten a clearly and discernible answer for records in historical data in Thailand language are limited. Applying Chinese historical materials for researching and slotting is a good way to obtain knowledge and to work out a solution, particularly to acquire understanding why Thonburi King actively developed the relations and bilateral trade with China in a farseeing and broadminded way during that period.
