การศึกษาอักษรย่อในคัมภีร์หัวใจ 108 ในฐานะสื่อการสอนพระพุทธศาสนา

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบและวิธีการย่ออักษรในคัมภีร์หัวใจ 108 (2) เพื่อศึกษาแหล่งที่มา สาระสำคัญ และการนำอักษรย่อในคัมภัร์หัวใจ 108 ไปใช้ในมิติต่างๆ (3) เพื่อศึกษาการใช้อักษรย่อในคัมภีร์หัวใจ 108 ในฐานะสื่อการสอนพระพุทธศาสนา เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยเก็บข้อมูลจากเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกแล้วนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์และนำเสนอเป็นรายงานการวิจัยแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ (Analysis Description) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การย่ออักษรในคัมภีร์หัวใจ 108 ส่วนใหญ่ใช้วิธีการย่ออักษรตามคัมภีร์วชิรสารัตถสังคหะที่เป็นทฤษฎีการย่ออักษร 4 รูปแบบ คือ การย่ออักษรตัวแรกของศัพท์ การย่ออักษรตัวสุดท้ายของศัพท์ การย่ออักษรที่ใช้วิธีทั้งสองข้างต้นร่วมกัน การย่ออักษรแล้วประมวลอักษรมาไว้ตรงกลางโดยวางอักษรสลับกันไปมา หัวใจนอกจากนี้ใช้คำย่อ คำศัพท์ อักษรในภาษาบาลี อักษรไทย และคำไทยมาผสมกัน สำหรับแหล่งที่มาของอักษรย่อส่วนใหญ่มาจากคัมภีร์พระไตรปิฎกอรรถกถา ฎีกา และคัมภีร์อื่นๆ รวมถึงบทสวดมนต์จากหนังสือสวดมนต์ แต่มีหัวใจบางส่วนที่มีแหล่งที่มาจากความเชื่อในศาสนาพราหมณ์-ฮินดู ไสยศาสตร์ วรรณคดีเรื่องรามเกียรติ์และขุนช้าง ขุนแผนทีโบราณาจารย์นำมาใช้สื่อเรื่องสำคัญในพระพุทธศาสนา ได้แก่ พระรัตนตรัย พระพุทธเจ้า พระธรรม พุทธสาวกบางรูป คัมภีร์ในพระพุทธศาสนา พิธีกรรม และเรื่องเล่าในพระพุทธศาสนาสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงภูมิปัญญาของโบราณาจารย์ที่นำเรื่องเหล่านี้มาใช้สื่อผ่านหัวใจต่างๆ ดังนั้น หัวใจและอักษรย่อของหัวใจจึงเป็นสื่อการเรียนรู้เรื่องต่างๆ ในพระพุทธศาสนาโดยย่อ ส่วนการนำไปใช้นั้นพบในรูปแบบสำคัญคือ การใช้ที่ตรงกับสาระสำคัญของหัวใจที่สัมพันธ์กับหลักการในพระพุทธศาสนา ได้แก่ ใช้สำหรับท่องจำหลักที่สำคัญในพระพุทธศาสนา ใช้เป็นอุบายฝึกจิตให้เป็นสมาธิโดยใช้อักษรในหัวใจเป็นเครื่องภาวนา และใช้เป็นอุบายเตือนสติผู้นำไปใช้ให้ละความชั่ว ทำความดีด้วยการรักษาศีล เสียสละ และพัฒนาจิตให้ผ่องใส่ ส่วนการนำไปใช้ที่ไม่ตรงกับสาระสำคัญของหัวในนั้น พบว่า ส่วนใหญ่นำไปใช้ตามความเชื่อในไสยศาสตร์ที่มุ่งให้เกิดอานุภาพด้านที่ดี เช่น ปลอดภัยจากอันตราย เมตตามหานิยม เป็นต้น และบางส่วนถูกนำไปใช้ในทางที่ผิด เช่น ทำให้คนหลงรัก ทำให้คนเกลียดชังกันและนำไปใช้เสกของกินร่วมกับสุราที่เป็นการส่งเสริมให้คนผิดศีลข้อที่ 5 แต่ถ้ากล่าวสรุปตามสาระสำคัญของหัวใจแล้ว อักษรย่อในคัมภีร์ในคัมภีร์หัวใจ 108 ส่วนใหญ่เป็นสื่อการเรียนรู้พระพุทธศาสนาที่มุ่งให้คนเข้าใจและนำไปใช้พัฒนาชีวิตตั้งแต่หลักการพื้นฐาน เช่น ศีล 5 จนถึงหลักธรรมเพื่อพัฒนาชีวิตสู่ความหลุดพ้น เช่น อริยสัจสี่ เป็นต้น ผลการศึกษาข้างต้นชี้ให้เห็นประโยชน์ของการศึกษาเรื่องนี้โดยสรุป คือ การไขความลี้ลับของหัวใจ 108 ที่คนส่วนใหญ่มองว่าเป็นเรื่องของไสยศาสตร์ที่มุ่งให้เกิดความขลัง ความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่มีอานุภาพต่างๆ แต่ผลการศึกษาเรื่องนี้สามารถยืนยันได้ว่า หัวใจต่างๆ ในคัมภีร์หัวใจ 108 เป็นเรื่องที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพระพุทธศาสนาเป็นส่วนใหญ่อันเป็นกุศโลบายในการสอนพระพุทธศาสนาของโบราณาจารย์ไทย แต่เรื่องสำคัญในพระพุทธศาสนาถูกกลบไปด้วยอิทธิพลของความเชื่อไสยศาสตร์ ประกอบกับการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้เหล่านี้มักจะไม่มีการบอกความหมายและแหล่งที่มาของอักษรย่อ จึงทำให้หลักคำสอนสำคัญในพระพุทธศาสนาเลือนหายไปกลายเป็นความเชื่อทางไสยศาสตร์เข้ามาแทนที่อย่างน่าเสียดาย

This research aimed to study 1) the forms and methods of acronym in 108 core scripture, 2) the source material and its acronym in 108 core scripture to use different dimension, and 3) the study of acronym in 108 core scripture as a supplementary Buddhism material. This qualitative research collected data from documents and in-depth interviews and they were analyzed and presented as descriptive research report. The research found that most acronymes in 108 core scripture were abbreviated by using the acronym theory as in the Wachirasarattasangkhaha scripture which consisted of 4 forms; 1) the abbreviation of the initial letter of a word, 2) the abbreviation of the final letter of a word, 3) the abbreviation of both the initial and final letter and 4) the shortening the letter of a word and place it alternately. Moreover, acronyms in 108 core scripture were formed by using Thai words and alphabets, Pali words, and mixed of both Thai and Pali words. The sources of most letter abbreviation were scriptures, commertaries, supplications, and other scriptures, including chants from the prayer book. However, some core scriptures were derived from the belief in Brahmanism, superstition, literature, Ramayana and Khun Chang Khun Phaen which the traditional masters used as learning media to convey important messages in Buddhism, for instance, "Rattana Tri" or "Triple Gem" as well as Buddhist scriptures, rituals and narratives in Biddhism. These media reflected the wisdom of the master who used the acronyms as Buddhism supplementary material. In terms of application, the research found that there were 2 ways of using the core sccripture; 1) the application that corresponds with the essence of the core scripture in relation to the principles of Buddhism, for example, for memorizing the principles of Buddhism, for mental exercise to meditate by using the letters in prayer, and for the leader reminder to leave baseness, observe the precepts, self-sacrifice, and mental development. 2) The application that does not match the essence of the core scripture by applying the acronyms in superstition, which are making the supernatural power such as asking for safety and for great mercy. Some people used them in the wrong way, such as making people fall in love or hate or mixing with food and liquor that encourage people to break the rule number 5 of morality. In brief, 108 core scripture is mostly a Buddhist learning medium which aimed to help people understand and use to develop their life from the basic principles, such as five precepts, to ths higher principles to become enlightened, such as the Four Nobel Truths. In summary, the study of acronym in 108 core scripture confirmed that the core scripture was related to Buddhism. The main purpose was to use as the teaching strtegies by traditional masters of Buddhism. However, the importance of Buddhism was diminished by the influence of superstition. Moreover, there were often no indication of the meaning and source of the acronym that dissolves Buddhism into a superstition.
