dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of English videos on YouTube as a learning tool for developing vocational students’ speaking skills. The samples were 25 first-year students in Food Processing program at Singburi Vocational College. The instruments of the study consisted of English videos on YouTube, English speaking tests and the data were collected qualitatively from the pre and post speaking tests to compare the students’ score. The data was processed by computing and analyzing the percentage, mean score, standard deviation (S.D.) and dependent t-test. The study findings showed that the use of YouTube videos for teaching learning process could develop vocational students’ speaking skills. The highest score on performance criteria was pronunciation, the students pronounced well after using YouTube videos. Followed by grammar, the students made sentences more grammatical. For the fluency, in the pre-test the students were not fluent, but in the post-test the students were becoming more fluent. Lastly, lexical resource, the students’ vocabulary, the students used various words after the use of YouTube videos. In addition, the teaching learning process was enthusiastic in the classroom activities. As the result, the students’ score in pre-test was 59.60 and the post-test 75.40. | en |
