ภาพสะท้อนสังคมชนบทไทยในนวนิยายที่ได้รับรางวัลซีไรต์เรื่องคำพิพากษา

Abstract

งานวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ภาพสะท้อนสังคมชนบทไทยในนวนิยายที่ได้รับรางวัลซีไรต์เรื่อง คำพิพากษา โดยใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาและนำเสนอผลการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลวิจัยพบว่า ในนวนิยายเรื่อง คำพิพากษาได้สะท้อนภาพสังคมชนบทไทย 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) ภาพสะท้อนด้านวิถีชีวิตพบว่า ที่อยู่อาศัย การแต่งกาย และอาหารการกินของคนในชนบทไทยแตกต่างกันตามฐานะทางการเงิน อุปนิสัย และพฤติกรรมของแต่ละบุคคล 2) ภาพสะท้อนด้านคุณธรรมและจริยธรรมพบว่า คนในสังคมชนบทไทยมีความเห็นอกเห็นใจ มีน้ำใจช่วยเหลือกันเมื่อยามยากลำบาก มีความอดทนต่อสถานการณ์และสิ่งแวดล้อมภายนอกที่ไม่พึงประสงค์ และอดทนต่อความรู้สึก เช่น ความโกรธ และมีความกตัญญู รู้สึกนึกในบุญคุณที่คนอื่นทำให้และหาทางตอบแทน 3) ด้านความเชื่อและประเพณีพบว่า คนไทยในชนบทมีความความเชื่อเรื่องกรรมและปฏิบัติตนตามหลักศีลห้าที่มุ่งให้คนละความชั่ว ทำความดี ไม่สร้างความเดือดร้อนให้แก่ตนและสังคม และยึดมั่นในประเพณีการบวชพระที่มุ่งให้ผู้บวชได้รับการฝึกอบรมให้เป็นคนดี ผู้ที่มีส่วนร่วมได้บุญ และประเพณีงานศพที่มุ่งทำบุญอุทิศกุศลนาดวงวิญญาณของผู้ตายไปสู่สวรรค์

The objective of this research was to analyze the reflection of rural Thai society in the S.E.A Writers Awards novel “The Judgment”. By using content analysis and presenting descriptive research results. The results of the research found that “The Judgment” novel reflected three aspects of rural society in Thailand, namely: 1) Reflecting on lifestyle, it was found that the housing, dress and food of people in rural Thailand differed according to the financial status, habits and behavior of each individual. 2) The reflection on morality and ethics found that People in rural Thai society have compassion. They are generous to help each other in times of trouble. Rural people are tolerant of adverse external situations and environments. and tolerant of internal negative feelings such as anger and gratitude. Feel grateful for what others have done and find a way in return without expecting anything in return. 3) In terms of culture, it was found that Thai people in rural areas believed in karma and practiced the five precepts that aimed at everyone to do good deeds and not create trouble for themselves and society and adheres to the tradition of ordaining monks that aims for ordained monks to be trained to be good people those who participated in merit and funeral traditions aimed at making merit and bringing the souls of the deceased to heaven.
