ฤทธิ์การต้านแบคทีเรียต้านการเกิดไบโอฟิล์มและต้านอนุมูลอิสระของสารสกัดจินอิ๋นฮวาต่อเชื้อในช่องปาก

Abstract

ศึกษาฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระ ฤทธิ์ต้านเชื้อแบคทีเรีย และฤทธิ์ต้านการเกิดไบโอฟิล์ม ของสารสกัดชั้นเอทานอลของสมุนไพรจีนจินอิ๋นฮวา (Lonicera japonica) ต่อเชื้อในช่องปาก 2 สายพันธ์ ได้แก่ Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175T และ Streptococcus salivarius ATCC 7073T จากค่า IC50 พบว่าสารสกัดจินอิ๋นฮวา และสารมาตรฐาน BHT มีฤทธิ์ในการยับยั้งอนุมูลอิสระที่ความเข้มข้น 0.031+0.001 มิลลิกรัมต่อมิลลิลิตร และ 0.034+0.0005 มิลลิกรัมต่อมิลลิลิตร ตามลําดับ ไม่แตกต่าางอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ จากผลการทดสอบฤทธิ์การต้านเชื้อจุลินทรีย์ของสารสกัดจินอิ๋นฮวาด้วยวิธี Agar well diffusion พบว่าทําให้เกิดโซนใสมีขนาดเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางใกล้เคียงกันทั้งสองเชื้อ และมีค่า MIC เท่ากัน คือ 12.5 มิลลิกรัมต่อมิลลิลิตร แต่สารสกัดจินอิ๋นฮวามีฤทธิ์ต้านการเกิดไบโ่อฟิล์มต่อเชื้อ Streptococcus salivarius ได้ดีกว่า Streptococcus mutans อย่างเห็นได้ชัด ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าสมุนไพรจีนจินอิ๋นฮวามีศักยภาพที่จะนํามาพัฒนาเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีฤทธิ์ต้านเชื้อแบคทีเรียเพื่อป้องกันการเกิดโรคในช่องปาก

Chinese herbs Lonicera japonica was studied for antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-biofilm activities against two oral bacteria Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175T and Streptococcus salivarius ATCC 7073T. It was found that Lonicera japonica extract and standard BHT had the IC50 values of 0.031+0.001 mg/ml and 0.034 mg/ml, respectively, which were not significant difference. Antimicrobial activity against both bacterial strains, indicated by the clear zone of agar well diffusion method, was observed with the similar MIC value of 12.5 mg/ml. However, the crude extract of Lonicera japonica had higher anti-biofilm activity against Streptoccus mutans and Streptococcus salivarius. In summary, Chinese herbs Lonicera japonicahas potential for the development of antibacterial product for preventing oral diseases.
