การพัฒนาทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชนสำหรับพระสงฆ์และผู้แทนชุมชน เพื่อส่งเสริมแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรม: กรณีศึกษา วัดบัวโรย อำเภอบางเสาธง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ

Abstract

งานวิจัย เรื่องการพัฒนาทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชนสำหรับพระสงฆ์และผู้แทนชุมชน เพื่อส่งเสริมแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรม: กรณีศึกษาวัดบัวโรย อำเภอบางเสาธง จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร มีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อศึกษาระดับความสำคัญ ปัญหาและความต้องการต่อการพัฒนาทักษะการใช้ภาษาเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์และส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมสำหรับพระสงฆ์และผู้แทนชุมชน 2) เพื่อสร้างและหาประสิทธิภาพแบบฝึกเสริมทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมสำหรับพระสงฆ์และผู้แทนชุมชนและ 3) เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบความสามารถด้านทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารของกลุ่มเป้าหมายก่อนและหลังใช้คู่มือแบบฝึกเสริมทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน โดยใช้วิธีการหลายแบบทั้งการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) และการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) เพื่อให้บรรลุตามวัตถุประสงค์การวิจัย ได้แก่ ทดสอบก่อนและหลังการฝึกอบรม (Pretest, Posttest) การตอบแบบสอบถาม (Questionnaire) การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-dept Interview) กับกลุ่มเป้าหมายจำนวน 10 คน ประกอบดวยผู้อำนวยการและครูโรงเรียนวัดบัวโรย ข้าราชการและพนักงานองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลบางเสาธง อำเภอบางเสาธง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ผลการวิจัยด้านความสำคัญ ปัญหาและความต้องการต่อการพัฒนาทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน พบว่า 1) ความต้องการปรับปรุงทักษะด้านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร ทั้ง 5 ด้าน ได้แก่ ทักษะการฟัง (Listening Skill) การพูด (Speaking Skill) การอ่าน (Reading Skill) การเขียน (Writing Skill) และไวยากรณ์ (Grammar Skill) ของกลุ่มเป้าหมาย จำนวน 10 คน โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากมีคะแนน มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 2.92 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 2.06 ผลการวิจัยด้านความต้องการพัฒนาทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษาเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน โดยแยกสำรวจตามทักษะทางภาษาแต่ละด้าน พบว่า ทักษะด้านไวยากรณ์ มีความต้องการพัฒนาปรับปรุงมากที่สุดมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 3.5 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 0.67 รองลงมา คือ ทักษะการเขียน และทักษะการพูด มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 2.9 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 0.70 เท่ากัน ขณะที่ทักษะการฟัง มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 2.7 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 0.64 และทักษะการอ่าน มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 2.6 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 0.66 มีระดับความต้องการปรับปรุงต่ำสุดเมื่อเทียบกับทักษะด้านอื่น ๆ จากข้อมูลดังกล่าวแสดงให้เห็นว่ากลุ่มเป้าหมายมีปัญหาและความต้องการพัฒนาปรับปรุงทักษะด้านไวยากรณ์ (Grammar) ในระดับมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือ ทักษะการเขียน (Writing) และทักษะการพูด (Speaking) ขณะที่ทักษะการฟัง (Listening) และทักษะการอ่าน (Reading) กลุ่มเป้าหมายมีความต้องการพัฒนาปรับปรุงน้อยที่สุด เมื่อเทียบกับทักษะด้านอื่นๆ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ผลการวิจัยด้านระดับความสำคัญของทักษะการฟัง พูด อ่าน เขียน และไวยากรณ์ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสำหรับกลุ่มเป้าหมายจำนวน 10 คน พบว่ามีคะแนนระดับความสำคัญที่ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 3.16 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 1.96 ซึ่งแสดงว่ากลุ่มเป้าหมายให้ความสำคัญทักษะการฟัง พูด อ่าน เขียน และไวยากรณ์ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารในระดับมาก ผลการวิจัยด้านระดับความสำคัญของทักษะภาษาอังกฤษต่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน แยกตามทักษะแต่ละด้าน พบว่า ทักษะการฟัง (Listening) เป็นทักษะที่ผู้เข้าอบรมเห็นว่ามีความสำคัญมากที่สุด มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 3.6 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 0.66 รองลงมาคือ ทักษะการพูด (Speaking) มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 3.4 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 0.92 ทักษะการอ่าน (Reading) และทักษะการเขียน (writing) มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 3.1 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐน (S.D.) = 1.04 เท่ากัน ส่วนทักษะด้านไวยากรณ์ (Grammar) มีระดับความสำคัญน้อยที่สุด เมื่อเทียบกับทักษะด้านอื่น ๆ ที่ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 2.6 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 1.28 แสดงให้เห็นว่าซึ่งสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ข้อที่ 1 ผลการวิจัยด้านระดับความจำเป็น และระดับปัญหาต่อรูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนในการฝึกอบรมหลักสูตรภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ของกลุ่มเป้าหมายจำนวน 10 คน พบว่ากลุ่มเป้าหมายมองว่ากิจกรรมดังกล่าวมีความจำเป็นในระดับมากที่สุด มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 3.81 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 1.80 ส่วนระดับปัญหา มีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 3.4 ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 1.0 จากผลการวิจัยดังกล่าวข้างต้นนี้จึงสรุปได้ว่า กลุ่มเป้าหมายเห้นว่าทักษะทางภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณะชุมชนมีความสำคัญและมีความจำเป็นอยู่ในระดับมาก และกลุ่มเป้าหมายระบุว่ามีความต้องการพัฒนาทักษะด้านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารของตนเองในระดับมาก โดยพบว่าทักษะด้านไวยากรณ์ คือ ทักษะที่กลุ่มเป้าหมายมีปัญหาในการใช้มากที่สุด ส่วนทักษะด้านการพูดเป็นทักษะที่มีความต้องการพัฒนาปรับปรุงมากที่สุด และกลุ่มเป้าหมายระบุว่า กิจกรรมการฝึกทักษะดังกล่าวมีความจำเป็นในระดับมากที่สุด ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ข้อที่ ผลการวิจัยด้านการพัฒนาคู่มือแบบฝึกหัดการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณะชุมชนสำหรับพระสงฆ์และผู้แทนชุมชน เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรม กรณีศึกษาวัดบัวโรย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ขั้นตอนการจัดทำคู่มือแบบฝึกหัดทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร ประกอบด้วย 1) สำรวจข้อมูลอัตลักษณะชุมชน 2) สำรวจความสำคัญ ปัญหา และความต้องการของกลุ่มเป้าหมายต่อการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน 3) สนทนากับผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิเพื่อหาแนวทางจัดทำคู่มือแบบฝึก 4) จัดทำคู่มือแบบฝึกตามข้อมูลที่รวบรวมได้มา 5) ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิตรวจประเมินคู่มือแบบฝึก 6) ปรับแก้คู่มือแบบฝึกตามข้อเสนอของผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 7) นำคู่มือแบบฝึกไปทดลองใช้กับกลุ่มเป้าหมาย ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลให้การจัดคู่มือแบบฝึกทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณะชุมชนประสบความสำเร็จ คือ การให้ความสำคัญกับการนำเสนออัตลักษณ์ชุมชนทั้ง 4 ด้าน ดังกล่าวข้างต้น และคู่มือแบบฝึกได้ผ่านการพิจารณาจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิถึงความถูกต้องเหมาะสมกับกลุ่มเป้าหมาย ซึ่งคณะกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิมีความพึงพอใจในคู่มือแบบฝึกการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน ในระดับมากที่สุด ที่ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย 4.55 จากผลการประเมินดังกล่าวสรุปได้ว่า คู่มือแบบฝึกทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน มีความเหมาะสมและสามารถใช้ประกอบการอบรมได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และผลการประเมินความพึงพอใจต่อการจัดหลักสูตรฝึกอบรม แสดงให้เห็นว่ากลุ่มเป้าหมายมีระดับความพึงพอใจต่อการจัดฝึกอบรมทุกด้านที่ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̄ = 4.58 และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานที่ 2.60 ถือว่ามีระดับความพึงพอใจที่ระดับมากที่สุด ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ข้อที่ 2 ผลการวิจัยด้านการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบสัมฤทธิผลการใช้คู่มือแบบฝึกทักษะการใช้ภษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชน พบว่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยสัมฤทธิ์ผลทางการเรียนรู้ของกลุ่มเป้าหมายก่อนเรียนมีค่าเฉลี่ย x̄ = 29.0 และมีส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) 4.92 และคะแนนผลสัมฤทธิ์หลังเรียนมีค่าเฉลี่ย x̄ = 35.80 และมีส่วนเฉลี่ยเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) = 5.22 ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นว่าเมื่อกลุ่มเป้าหมายผ่านการฝึกอบรมด้วยการใช้คู่มือแบบฝึกทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชนแล้ว มีพัฒนาการหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ข้อที่ 3 จากผลการวิจัยดังกล่าวข้างต้น จึงสรุปได้ว่า การนำคู่มือแบบฝึกทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤาเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ชุมชนไปใช้จัดการฝึกอบรมมีประสิทธิภาพผ่านเกณฑ์มาตรฐานและมีความแตกต่างทางนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ .05 ระหว่างก่อนและหลังการใช้คู่มือแบบฝึก ทั้งนี้การสร้างคู่มือแบบฝึกการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในงานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ มีกระบวนการที่ให้ความสำคัญกับการสำรวจปัญหาและความต้องการของกลุ่มเป้าหมายก่อน จากนั้นมีการสนทนากลุ่มผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิที่เชี่ยวชาญด้านการสอนภาษาอังกฤษและการท่องเที่ยว จนได้เนื้อหาและกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนที่เหมาะสมครอบคลุมอัตลักษณะชุมชนวัดบัวโรย 4 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) อัตลักษณะด้านประวัติศาสตร์วัดบัวโรย (Historical Significance) 2) อัตลักษณ์ด้านกิจกรรมและประเพณีและคุณค่าทางสังคม (Social Significance) 3) อัตลักษณ์ด้านคุณค่าทางสุนทรียศาสตร์ของวัดบัวโรย (Aesthetic Significance) 4) อัตลักษณ์ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมวัดบัวโรย (Environmental Significance) จึงทำให้กลุ่มเป้าหมายได้เรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นและคุณภาพคู่มือแบบฝึกอยู่ในระดับดีมาก ที่ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย 4.55

This research is entitled ‘The Development of English Skills for Identity and Meaning Communications for Buddhist Monks and Community’s Representation to Promote Cultural Tourism: A Case Study of Bua Roi Temple, Bang Saothong District, Samutprakarn Province’. It was a mixed research methods; Qualitative and Quantitative studies for data collection with three main objectives as follows: 1) To study the significance, problems and necessity of English Skills Development for Buddhist Monks and Community’s Representatives to promote Cultural Tourism, 2) To develop the training handbook of English for Communication Skills to promote Cultural Tourism, and 3) To compare the learning achievement in English Communication Skills of the participants after completion of the training course by using the developed handbook. The research sample group consisted of 10 participants who are 1 school director and 5 teachers at Wat Roi Primary School, 4 representatives of Bang Saothong Sub-district Administrative Office, Samutprakan Province. They were purposively selected to attend this experimental research. The research instruments for data collection were questionnaires, achievement tests (pre-test and post-test) semi-structure interview protocol, and lesson plans. The data was analyzed by ways of percentages, mean, and inferential statistic using t-test and f-test. As the significant statistics used for analyzing data is at 0.005 level. The results of this research were as follows: 1. In response to the research question number 1 concerning the importance, problem and necessity of English for Communication Skills, the results showed that 1) the participants were satisfied with the importance and necessity of English for Communication Skills Development, the results showed that 1) the participants were satisfied with the importance and necessity to develop their English communications skills; listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar for identity and meaning communications. The findings indicated their satisfactory with the average x̄ = 2.92 and S.D. = 2.06. In each language skill, the results revealed that, grammar skill was in the higher demand for development ) (x̄ = 3.5, S.D. = 0.67), writing and speaking skills gained next (x̄ = 2.9, S.D. = 0.64), listening skill reflected x̄ = 2.7, S.D. = 0.64, and reading skill showed the lowest need in development by the statistical result x̄ = 2.6, S.D. = 0.66. The participants had very high appreciation upon the training activities formal and its importance (x̄ = 3.81, S.D. = 1.80) while the problem considered as x̄ = 3.4 and S.D. = 1.0. From the above findings, it was possibly assumed that the participants attached great importance to the English for communication skills development. The statistics supported that self-development in English for communication skills were highly needed among 10 participants. Grammar became their utmost problem in using English for communications. Meanwhile, they considered speaking skill was the most wanted one to be developed. They appreciated all the provided training activities which matched their need the most. These were also consistent with the research objective number 1. 2. The research results in the preparation of English for Communication Handbook indicated that the training handbook covered the identity of Bua Roi Temple community in 4 main aspects: 1) Historical Significance, 2) Social Significance, 3) Aesthetic Significance, and 4) Environment Significance, respectively. The expert committee had a very high satisfactory for the handbook with an average point of 4.55. From the results, it showed that the handbook was highly appropriated for the instruction. Also, the participant’s feedback from the program came out in the highest satisfactory with x̄ = 4.58 and S.D. = 2.60. In conclusion, the designed creative training handbook had been proved to meet the standardized efficient method. This was consequently processed of the creation of the training handbook which focused on the following effective processes. Firstly, surveying the problems and requirements of the targeted group in terms of English for communication skills and knowledges of their community identity. Secondly, group discussions with the experts concerning of teaching English for communications, English for Hotel and Tourism, and English for Presentation. The discussions were held to scope the contents and methodology responding to the require syllabus, the lectures teaching the above-mentioned courses and experts integrated their sciences in working groups discussion. As a result, the efficient and unique training handbook had been created for efficient English learning for Communication Skills for meanings and identity communication. The result was in consistent with the objective number 2. 3. The research results on the comparison of learning achievement in English Communication Skills of the participants after completion of the training course by utilizing the developed handbook were found that the participants had significantly increased their knowledge and skills in English for communications skills after taking parts of the training program. The average evaluation below was before and after the program: x̄ = 29.0, x̄ = 35.80 S.D. = 4.92, S.D. = 5.22. The assessment came out in a very positive satisfactory with average x̄ = 4.55. The research results on the understanding of identify in the Bua Roi Temple Community had exceedingly changed after the training program; from x̄ = 3.50, S.D. = 1.35 to x̄ = 13.10, and S.D. = 0.74. The results also revealed the highest satisfaction from participants after the program with the average x̄ = 4.54 and SD = 2.57. The statistical level of 0.5 implied significant change of development, which was consistent with the objective number 3.
