การสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาในนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทย

Abstract

การวิจัยเรื่อง การสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาในนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์การสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาผ่านองค์ประกอบวรรณกรรม กลวิธีทางภาษา และวิเคราะห์นัยสำคัญและอุดมการณ์ผ่านการสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาในนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทย ผู้วิจัยได้กำหนดขอบเขตการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา จำนวน 13 เรื่อง โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพ วิเคราะห์ตัวบทวรรณกรรมตามกรอบแนวคิดการสื่อความหมาย กลวิธีการสื่อความหมาย และแนวคิดอุดมการณ์ และนำเสนอผลการวิจัยแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาผ่านองค์ประกอบวรรณกรรมในนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทยพบ 5 องค์ประกอบสำคัญ ได้แก่ 1) โครงเรื่อง ผู้ประพันธ์ได้สื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาผ่านโครงเรื่อง 3 ประเภทใหญ่ คือ นวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทยสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาแนวประวัติศาสตร์ นวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทยสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาแนวข้ามภพ และนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทยสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาแนวสืบสวนสอบสวน 2) ตัวละคร มี 3 วิธีหลัก คือ การสร้างตัวละครชนชั้นต่าง ๆ พฤติกรรมของตัวละคร และการแต่งกายของตัวละคร 3) ฉาก มีฉาก 3 ประเภท คือ การสร้างฉากสถานที่ การสร้างฉากเวลา และการสร้างฉากสภาพแวดล้อมทางวัฒนธรรม 4) บทสนทนา มีบทสนทนาระหว่างตัวละคร และบทพูดเดี่ยวของตัวละคร และ 5) มุมมองการเล่าเรื่อง มีมุมมองการเล่าเรื่องจากผู้เล่าแบบผู้รู้แจ้ง และมุมมองการเล่าเรื่องจากผู้เล่าเป็นตัวละครเอกในเรื่องส่วนการสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาผ่านกลวิธีทางภาษาในนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทย พบ 8 กลวิธีหลัก ได้แก่ 1) การใช้คำ มีการใช้คำแสดงสภาพ และการใช้คำเรียก 2) การใช้ประโยค มีการใช้ประโยคแสดงความขัดแย้ง และการใช้ประโยคแสดงเหตุผล 3) การใช้ภาพพจน์ มีการใช้อุปมา การใช้อติพจน์ การใช้อุปลักษณ์ และการใช้ปฏิปุจฉา 4) การขยายความ 5) การใช้มูลบท 6) การปฏิเสธมูลบท 7) การใช้สหบท และ 8) การใช้ทัศนภาวะจากกลวิธีการสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรยุธยาดังกล่าว สามารถเห็นถึงนัยสำคัญของอาณาจักรอยุธยาในหลากหลายด้าน ได้แก่ 1) นัยสำคัญด้านการเมืองการปกครองและการทหาร ซึ่งเป็นนัยสำคัญหลักที่ผู้ประพันธ์ประสงค์จะสื่อไปยังผู้อ่าน 2) นัยสำคัญด้านวัฒนธรรม 3) นัยสำคัญด้านเศรษฐกิจ 4) นัยสำคัญด้านชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ 5) นัยสำคัญด้านความสัมพันธ์กับต่างประเทศ และ 6) นัยสำคัญด้านธรรมชาติ โดยเน้นเป็นนัยสำคัญด้านดีเป็นหลัก มีแต่นัยสำคัญด้านความสัมพันธ์กับต่างประเทศที่ปรากฏนัยสำคัญแง่ลบด้วย อุดมการณ์ที่ปรากฏผ่านการสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาดังกล่าว มี 5 ชุดหลัก ได้แก่ 1) อุดมการณ์ชาตินิยม มี 3 ประเด็นสำคัญ คือ รักชาติ รักพระมหากษัตริย์ ปกป้องอธิปไตยของชาติ และมีความสามัคคี เป็นอุดมการณ์หลักที่ผู้ประพันธ์ประสงค์จะปลูกฝังให้แก่ผู้อ่าน 2) อุดมการณ์อนุรักษ์นิยม เน้นให้คนปัจจุบันตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของบ้านเมือง ปลูกฝังให้ผู้คนร่วมรักษาและสืบทอดทั้งประเพณีและมารยาทดีงามของชาติไทยต่อไป 3) อุดมการณ์เสรีนิยม มี 2 ประเด็นสำคัญ คือ ความเป็นอิสระ และความมีจิตใจกว้างขวาง แสดงถึงความเป็นอิสระและความเปิดกว้างประนีประนอมเป็นอัตลักษณ์ของชาวไทย 4) อุดมการณ์ความพอเพียง ซึ่งเป็นอุดมการณ์ในยุคปัจจุบันที่ผู้ประพันธ์สอดแทรกไว้ในสังคมสมัยอยุธยาเพื่อปลูกฝังให้คนไทยควรยึดหลักความพอประมาณในปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ดำเนินชีวิตอย่างเรียบง่ายไม่ฟุ่มเฟือย เพื่อให้การใช้ชีวิตมีความสุขสบาย และ 5) อุดมการณ์นิเวศนิยม ปลูกฝังให้ชาวไทยต้องมีความสำนึกรักธรรมชาติ พยายามรักษาทรัพยากรทางธรรมชาติและความสมดุลทางนิเวศจากผลการวิจัยดังกล่าวเห็นได้ว่า ในนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์ไทย เน้นสื่อความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยาในด้านดีเป็นหลัก โดยเน้นความหมายอาณาจักรอยุธยามีความยิ่งใหญ่ ความงดงามเจริญรุ่งเรือง ซึ่งเป็นไปตามความทรงจำของชาวไทยมาตลอด ทำให้เห็นว่า ผู้ประพันธ์ชาวไทยมีการผลิตซ้ำงานเขียนมาตอกย้ำความยิ่งใหญ่งดงามของแผ่นดินไทย เพื่อเสริมสร้างความมั่นใจและความภาคภูมิใจที่มีต่อชาติตนเองแก่คนไทยปัจจุบัน ขณะเดียวกัน การเน้นปลูกฝังอุดมการณ์ชาตินิยมเป็นหลักก็เพื่อส่งเสริมความสามัคคีและเสถียรภาพภายในประเทศไทย

This research aims to analyze the meaning - making of the Ayutthaya Kingdom through elements of fiction, language techniques, and analyzing meanings and ideas in Thai historical Fiction. Thirteen Ayutthaya historical novels are the scope of this study. Research methodology includes the qualitative research approach and textual analysis, focusing on ideas, meaning – making, presentation techniques, and ideology. Research findings are reported as a descriptive analysis. The research finds five elements of fiction are applied in the meaning – making of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, as follows. 1) Plot, authors of Thai historical fiction studied present three types of plots, including historical plot; time-travel plot; and detective plot. 2) Characters, including different classes characters; character actions; and character dressing. 3) Setting, including places; time; and cultural environment. 4) Dialogue, including both dialogue and monologue. 5) Point of view, including omniscient point of view and first-person point of view. For language techniques, the novels studied presents eight techniques, including 1) choices of word, namely descriptive words and naming words. 2) Sentences, namely contrastive sentence and rational sentence. 3) Figure of speech, namely simile; hyperbole; metaphor; and paradox. 4) Description; 5) Assumption; 6) Negative assumption; 7) Intertextual, and 8) Modality. By stated meaning – making of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, six aspects of meaning could be observed, including 1) politic and military aspect, which is the main meaning the authors convey to readers. 2) Cultural aspect; 3) Economic aspect; 4) Ways of life aspect; 5) International relationship aspect; and 6) Natural aspect. All aspects present positive meaning; only the international relationship aspect, some negative meanings are found. For ideas observed through the meaning – making or the Ayutthaya Kingdom, five ideas are found, as follows.1) Patriotic idea, namely honoring the state; being loyal to the king; defending state sovereignty; and regarding unity. These are main ideas the authors intend to deliver to readers. 2) Conservative idea, emphasizing on the present generations aware of the importance of cultural heritages, conserving and handing over both Thai tradition and etiquette to later generations. 3) Liberal idea, namely independence and generosity, which reflect Thai identities of being liberal, open-minded and compromised. 4) Idea of sufficiency, which is the present idea, the authors present in Ayutthaya society aiming to implant the principle of sufficiency according to the philosophy of sufficient economy, recommending to live a simple life; not to be extravagant; and live a happy life. 5) Idea of ecologism, aiming to cultivate Thai people to care for the nature, preserve natural resources, and sustain the ecological balance. According to the research findings, it is notable that Thai historical novels emphasizing the positive meaning – making, especially the greatness, graceful and prosperity of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, which is in remembrance of Thai people. This is noted as reproducing of the greatness of Thailand to increase confidence and pride of the present Thai people, while the emphasis of delivering patriotic ideas aims to motivate unity and stability of the country.
