การปกป้องสุขภาพจากอันตรายและอาการไม่สุขสบายจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะอำเภอบางพลี จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการปกป้องสุขภาพจากอันตรายและอาการไม่สุขสบายจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะและเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อการเกิดอาการไม่สุขสบายจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ พนักงานเก็บขยะในอำเภอบางพลี จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ จำนวน 126 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ และการทดสอบไคสแควร์ (Chi-Square Test) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า อาการไม่สุขสบายจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะที่เกิดขึ้นมากที่สุดคือ อุบัติเหตุจากการบาดและทิ่มแทงจากของมีคม จำนวน 53 คน (ร้อยละ 42.1) อุปกรณ์ป้องกันที่ใช้มากที่สุด คือ ถุงมือ จำนวน 117 คน (ร้อยละ 96.7) ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อการเกิดอาการไม่สุขสบายจากการทำงานของพนักงานเก็บขยะในอำเภอบางพลี จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) ได้แก่ เพศ ที่อยู่อาศัย สถานภาพสมรส การมีบุตร และการได้รับการอบรมเกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติงาน ทั้งนี้ ผลการศึกษาสะท้อนให้เห็นว่าการมีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติงานอย่างปลอดภัยมีความสำคัญต่อการปกป้องสุขภาพและการลดความเสี่ยงในการเกิดอาการไม่สุขสบายได้ เพราะความรู้ความเข้าใจที่ดีอาจนำไปสู่การปฏิบัติที่ดีและถูกต้องได้

The objectives of this research were to study unpleasant symptoms and health protection of garbage collections and to study personal factors relating to unpleasant symptoms of garbage collectors. The researcher selected a population sample consisting of 126 garbage collectors in Bangphli district, Samut Prakan province. The questionnaire was used for collecting the data. We used percentage, mean, and Chi-Square Test for statistical data analysis. The results were found that the most of unpleasant symptoms was accidental injuries from sharp objects in garbage consisted of 53 garbage collectors (42.1%). Protective gloves were used most of the 117 garbage collectors (96.7%). Personal factors were statistically significant associated with occurrence of unpleasant symptoms of the garbage collectors (p<0.05) including gender, types of housing, marital status, having children (parental status), and getting knowledge or training on safe work practices. Finally, these results showed that getting the good knowledge or training on sage work practices may be lead to good health protection and decrease the occurrence of unpleasant symptoms of the garbage collectors.
