ภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนโต้ขนบในนวนิยายรักแนวจีนโบราณที่ประพันธ์โดยนักเขียนไทย

Abstract

ภูมิหลังและวัตถุประสงค์: นวนิยายรักแนวจีนโบราณได้นําเสนอภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนโต้ขนบธรรมเนียมต่าง ๆ ซึ่งเห็นได้จากทั้งชื่อเรื่องและเนื้อหาของเรื่อง การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนโต้ขนบในนวนิยายรักแนวจีนโบราณที่ประพันธ์โดยนักเขียนไทยพร้อมทั้งเพื่ออภิปรายให้เห็นถึงภาพแทนดังกล่าวที่นักเขียนไทยสร้างขึ้นมีความสอดคล้องกับภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนในบริบทสังคมจีนหรือไม่ผลการวิจัยช่วยเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจลึกซึ้งเกี่ยวกับการดัดแปลงวรรณกรรมข้ามวัฒนธรรมและส่งเสริมการอภิปรายเกี่ยวกับบทบาททางเพศในนวนิยายจีนโบราณอย่างกว้างขวาง ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัย: การวิจัยครั้งนี้ใช้วิธีวิจัยเอกสารและการวิเคราะห์ตัวบทของนวนิยาย โดยกําหนดขอบเขตคือนวนิยายรักแนวจีนโบราณที่ประพันธ์โดยนักเขียนไทยจากฐานข้อมูล www.mebmarket.com จํานวน 12 เล่ม 11 เรื่องซึ่งมีเกณฑ์คัดเลือก ได้แก่ 1) ชื่อเรื่องมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับผู้หญิง2) มีเกณฑ์ประเมินความนิยมตั้งแต่ 4.80 ขึ้นไป (คะแนนเต็ม 5.0) และมีจํานวนผู้ประเมินตั้งแต่ 236 คน ขึ้นไปที่เป็นร้อยละ 70 จากจํานวนผู้ประเมินสูงสุด (Examined on August 20: 2024) พบว่านวนิยายที่เข้าเกณฑ์เบื้องต้นมีจํานวนทั้งสิ้น 24 เล่มจาก 22 เรื่อง จากนั้นเพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพของข้อมูลให้มีความเหมาะสมยิ่งขึ้นสําหรับการศึกษาผู้วิจัยได้นําจํานวนผู้ประเมินของนวนิยายแต่ละเล่มมาเรียงลําดับจากมากไปหาน้อยและทําการคัดเลือกเฉพาะร้อยละ 50 แรก ของจํานวนหนังสือทั้งหมดที่ผ่านการคัดกรองในขั้นตอนแรกส่งผลให้ได้กลุ่มนวนิยายที่ใช้ในการศึกษาจํานวนทั้งสิ้น12 เล่ม 11 เรื่องโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ พร้อมทั้งนําเสนอผลการวิจัยในรูปแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ (Descriptive Analysis) ผลการวิจัย: ผลการวิจัยพบว่าภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนโต้ขนบในนวนิยายรักแนวจีนโบราณมี 3 ด้านหลัก ได้แก่ ภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนโต้ขนบในด้านตัวตนตัวละครเอกหญิงเป็นผู้นํามีความคิดของตนเองขาดทักษะงานครัวและศิลปะทั้งสี่ และท้าทายมาตรฐานความงามภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนโต้ขนบในด้านความสัมพันธ์กับผู้อื่น ต้องการความเสมอภาคและกล้าตัดขาดความสัมพันธ์กับสามี และภาพแทนผู้หญิงจีนโต้ขนบในด้านเขตพื้นที่ ทํางานเป็นนักธุรกิจหรือแม่ทัพ ภาพแทนดังกล่าวล้วนสะท้อนถึงบทบาทที่ก้าวข้ามข้อจํากัดดั้งเดิมของสังคมจีนโบราณกําหนดไว้สรุปผล:นักเขียนไทยนําเสนอภาพของสตรีจีนโบราณที่ท้าทายขนบธรรมเนียมดั้งเดิม ยกย่องความคิดอิสระและบทบาทที่ขัดต่อจารีตเดิม ทั้งยังเชื่อมโยงกับแนวคิดเรื่องสิทธิสตรีที่เริ่มก่อตัวขึ้นในสังคมไทยอย่างชัดเจน นอกจากนี้ การนําเสนอภาพสตรีจีนในลักษณะดังกล่าวยังสอดคล้องกับสังคมจีนโบราณสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความเข้าใจเชิงลึกในวัฒนธรรมจีนของนักเขียนไทย

Background and Aims: Ancient Chinese romance novels present representations of Chinese women who challenge traditional norms, as reflected in their titles and content. This study examines the representation of anti-traditional Chinese women in ancient Chinese romance novels written by Thai writers and explores whether these characters align with the depiction of Chinese women within the Chinese social context. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of cross-cultural literary adaptation and foster a broader discussion on gender roles in ancient Chinese literature. Methodology: This study adopts a documentary research approach combined with content analysis to examine ancient Chinese romance novels set in a feudal context. The scope of the research is limited to novels with titles that reflect themes related to women or female identity. To ensure quality and relevance, only novels with a rating of 4.80 or higher and at least 236 reviewers—representing 70% of the highest number of reviews—were considered. A total of 24 books comprising 22 distinct stories, all written by Thai authors, were initially selected from the website www.mebmarket.com.To further enhance the quality and suitability of the data, the selected novels were ranked according to the number of raters, from highest to lowest. Only the top 50% of these were retained for the final analysis, resulting in 12 books comprising 11 unique titles. The study employs qualitative data analysis and presents the findings through descriptive interpretation. Results: The study found that the representations of anti-traditional women in ancient Chinese romance novels primarily focus on three key aspects: representations of their identity, their relationships with others, and their roles in various fields. Female protagonists are portrayed as independent thinkers and leaders who do not conform to traditional ideals of beauty or domestic duties. They seek equality in relationships and are bold enough to sever ties when necessary. Additionally, they occupy professions that challenge traditional roles, such as businesswomen or military commanders. These representations reflect a breaking of the traditional societal constraints in ancient Chinese society. Conclusion: Thai writers portray ancient Chinese women as challenging traditional norms, embracing independent thought, and assuming roles that defy convention. This portrayal aligns with the growing feminist discourse in Thai society and reflects the writers' deep understanding of Chinese culture as well as their strong connection to the Thai social context.
