The Continuation of Ideology Femininity in the Novels of Niphon Thiengtham

Abstract

Background and Aims: The continuation of the ideology of femininity in Niphon Thiengtham's novels holds significant value for readers as it serves as a guide for nurturing human morality and ethics, particularly concerning what it means to be a good woman within Thai society— encompassing roles as a mother, wife, daughter, and member of society. Upholding positive feminine ideals contributes to building a peaceful and beautiful culture that can endure. This research aims to analyze how the ideology of femininity is perpetuated through the works of Niphon Thiengtham. Methodology: This qualitative study employs independent research and textual analysis of novels. The research was conducted under the concept of ideological femininity to convey the methods of perpetuating feminine ideology in Thai society. Four specific novels by Niphon Thiengtham have been chosen for this analysis: "Ching Chang," "Ongkor Por Bor Sor Hua Jai," "Wasana Rak," and "Krong Kam." Results: 1) A key value found in Thiangtham's novels is the creation of exemplary figures for societal members to emulate, encouraging actions that benefit society. Another core value is the instillation or warning about the characteristics and qualities that define a good woman. 2) The perpetuation of the ideology of femininity significantly influences individual development and societal attitudes. Parental guidance, educational instruction in schools, and social media dissemination are three ways to observe this. These approaches promote the values of women who contribute positively to others and society, reflecting the capabilities of women across all age groups. Moreover, they foster understanding and acceptance of women's value in society while establishing a robust foundation for the advancement of a gender-equal society. Conclusion: Niphon Thiengtham's novels function to establish exemplary models for societal emulation and encourage beneficial actions for society. They also serve to instill an awareness of the traits of a good woman. The methods used to perpetuate ideological femininity are crucial for individual development and societal attitudes. These methods help maintain the value of women who contribute positively to others and society, reinforcing the message of gender equality.

ภูมิหลังและวัตถุประสงค์: การสืบต่ออุดมการณ์ความเป็นหญิงในนวนิยายของ นิพนธ์ เที่ยงธรรม มีคุณค่าต่อผู้อ่านคือ สามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของมนุษย์ในด้านความเป็นหญิงที่ดีของสังคมไทย ในด้านความเป็นแม่ที่ดี ความเป็นภรรยาที่ดี ความเป็นลูกสาวที่ดี และความเป็นผู้หญิงที่ดีของสังคมไทย ซึ่ง อุดมการณ์อันดีงามของความเป็นหญิงในสังคมไทยจะส่งผลให้สังคมไทยเป็นสังคมที่ดี สงบ งดงาม อย่างยั่งยืน ยาวนานได้ต่อไป การวิจัยครั้งนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์การสืบต่ออุดมการณ์ความเป็นหญิงในนวนิยายของ นิพนธ์ เที่ยงธรรม ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัย: รูปแบบการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยวิธีวิจัยเอกสารและการวิเคราะห์ตัวบทนวนิยาย การวิจัยครั้งนี้ดำเนินการภายใต้แนวคิดอุดมการณ์ความเป็นหญิง เพื่อต้องการสื่อให้เห็นวิธีการในสืบต่ออุดมการณ์ความเป็นหญิงในสังคมไทย โดยผู้วิจัยคัดเลือกนวนิยายของนิพนธ์ เที่ยงธรรม จำนวน 4 เรื่อง ได้แก่ ชิงชัง องค์การบริหารส่วนหัวใจ วาสนารัก และกรงกรรม ผลการวิจัย : 1) คุณค่าหลักที่ปรากฏในนวนิยายของ นิพนธ์ เที่ยงธรรม คือ การสร้างแบบอย่างที่ดีให้แก่คนในสังคมเพื่อให้พวกเขาเลียนแบบและกลายเป็นผู้ที่ทำความดีต่อสังคมและคุณค่าอีกประการหลักคือเพื่อการตักเตือน หรือปลูกฝังให้คนในสังคมเห็นคุณลักษณะหรือคุณสมบัติของความเป็นผู้หญิงที่ดี 2) แนวทางการสืบต่ออุดมการณ์ ความเป็นหญิงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่มีผลต่อการพัฒนาและทัศนคติของบุคคลในสังคม ซึ่งพบใน 3 ประการ ได้แก่ การสืบ ต่อผ่านการสั่งสอนของพ่อแม่ การสืบต่อผ่านการศึกษาในโรงเรียน และการสืบต่อผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ ส่วนแนวทางเหล่านี้สามารถสืบต่อคุณค่าของผู้หญิงที่ทำให้แก่ผู้อื่นและสังคม อีกทั้งยังสะท้อนให้เห็นความสามารถของผู้หญิงในทุกช่วงวัย และการสืบต่ออุดมการณ์ความเป็นหญิงผ่านแนวทางเหล่านี้ไม่เพียงแต่ช่วยส่งเสริมการทำความเข้าใจและการยอมรับคุณค่าของผู้หญิงในสังคมเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นการสร้างพื้นฐานที่แข็งแกร่งสำหรับการพัฒนาสังคมที่มีความเท่าเทียมทางเพศได้ สรุปผล : นวนิยายของนิพนธ์ เที่ยงธรรม ย่อมทำหน้าที่ในการสร้างแบบอย่างที่ดีให้คนในสังคมเลียนแบบและทำ ความดีต่อสังคม และการตักเตือนหรือปลูกฝังให้คนเห็นคุณลักษณะของความเป็นผู้หญิงที่ดี ส่วนแนวทางสืบต่อ อุดมการณ์ความเป็นหญิงมีความสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาและทัศนคติของบุคคลในสังคม และแนวทางเหล่านี้ช่วยสืบ ต่อคุณค่าของผู้หญิงที่ทำประโยชน์ให้ผู้อื่นและสังคม
