dc.description.abstractThis paper explores the important elements in international Chinese teaching, namely the key role of intercultural communication. First, it emphasizes the profound connection between language and culture. Language not only reflects the culture, but also affects the way of thinking, social status and cultural inheritance. Secondly, etiquette and communicative styles play a crucial role in intercultural communication, they reflect social norms, values and codes of conduct, and understanding and respecting these norms is crucial to establishing good international relations. At the same time, the concept of adaptability, namely, students not only need to understand the etiquette and communication methods of different cultures, but also need to have the ability to adapt to different situations to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts. Finally, changes in etiquette and communication, indicating that they may change across time and social environment, therefore, students need to constantly update their knowledge to adapt to social and cultural changes. In summary, the importance of understanding and respecting Chinese culture in international Chinese teaching is needed to promote cross-cultural communication and help students better cope with the challenges of cross-cultural communication.en
