ภาพสะท้อนสังคมและวัฒนธรรมในนิทานพื้นบ้านจังหวัดระยอง

Abstract

งานวิจัยเรื่องนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ภาพสะท้อนสังคมและวัฒนธรรมที่ปรากฏในนิทานพื้นบ้านจังหวัดระยอง โดยศึกษานิทานพื้นบ้าน 8 ประเภท จำนวน 50 เรื่อง ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ภาพชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของคนไทยเป็นขีวิตที่อยู่ใกล้ธรรมชาติ มีถิ่นที่อยู่อาศัยร่วมกัน มีสภาพแวดล้อมใกล้แหล่งน้ำ ที่อยู่อาศัยของคนระยองส่วนใหญ่อยู่ใกล้ธรรมชาติ การประกอบอาชีพส่วนใหญ่เกี่ยวกับการเกษตร เช่น ทำนา ทำสวน ทำไร่ เลี้ยงสัตว์ ตัดฟืนและล่าสัตว์ ส่วนโครงสร้างของครอบครัวไทยพบว่า ทุกคนในครอบครัวจะอาศัยอยู่ร่วมกัน และมีหน้าที่ของตนเอง ด้านค่านิยม นิทานสะท้อนค่านิยมการเลือกคู่ครองว่า นิยมให้พ่อแม่เป็นผู้หาคู่ครองให้ ต้องเป็นคนขยันทำงาน ส่วนค่านิยมเรื่องความกตัญญูพบว่า แม้ว่าจะเป็นสัตว์ก็ต้องรู้จักตอบแทนผู้มีพระคุณ นอกจากนั้นนิทานยังสะท้อนค่านิยมการมีสติปัญญาแก้ปัญหาต่าง ๆ ด้านประเพณี นิทานได้สะท้อนประเพณีการทำบุญ การแต่งงาน และการบวช ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับระบบความเชื่อ แสดงให้เห็นว่าคนไทยส่วนมากนับถือพุทธศาสนา จึงปฏิบัติประเพณีตามความเชื่อเรื่องบุญกรรม

The objective of this research is for an analysis of the social reflection and culture in the folk tales of Rayong Province through a case study of 8 types of 54 stories. The research found that the Thai lifestyle represented in the stories in simple, peaceful, and calm with people relying upon nature and living in an environment of water, dwellings, and village. Most of the Thai accommodation is close to forest area, sea, island, swamp, and forest with wildlife. Most of the Thai vacations are agricultural such as rice farming, orchard work, raising livestock, collecting firewood, and hunting. In the stories, characters often live in extended families composed of the parents brother and sister, grandfather and grandmother including the relative and most of them living together and all of them having their own duties. Preference is shown to parents choosing the spouse for their children or for the young; the spouse must be diligent, good looking, and smart; should preferably be able to take care of or look after their parents and respects people; should obey and respect elders and follow their advice for solving problems in their daily life. Regarding traditions, in the folk tales are reflected Thai festivals and aspects of the culture such as merit-making, wedding ceremonies, and the majority of Buddhist men becoming Buddhist monks, which shows that most of the Thais are Buddhists who practice customs in accordance with their beliefs. Regarding karma, in the new life, whoever did good will receive good results. Therefore, most of the folk tales are fun enjoyable while increasing one’s consciousness and intelligence.
