ภาพสะท้อนค่านิยมของสังคมไทยในละครซิทคอมเรื่อง บางรักซอย 9/1

Abstract

บทความวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภาพสะท้อนค่านิยมของสังคมไทยในละครซิทคอมเรื่อง บางรักซอย 9/1 โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ด้านครอบครัว คนรุ่นเก่าเห็นว่า พ่อ แม่ควรเป็นแบบที่ดีให้แก่ลูกในทุกด้าน สามีภรรยาต้องมีความซื่อสัตย์ต่อกัน และต้องให้ความเคารพต่อผู้อาวุโส คนรุ่นเก่าจะให้เวลากับการเลือกคู่ครอง ศึกษาดูใจกันนาน และเลือกคู่ครองด้วยความรัก ไม่ใช่เพื่อเป้าหมายอื่น ส่วนคนรุ่นใหม่นิยมเลือกคู่ครองด้วยอารมณ์ ไม่ค่อยใช้เหตุผล ด้านการทํางาน คนรุ่นเก่าเห็น ว่า ผู้เป็นหัวหน้างานควรวางตัวให้พนักงานยําเกรงและเคารพนับถือเพื่อบังคับบัญชาได้ง่าย คนในองค์กร ต้องแต่งกายให้สุภาพ เรียบร้อย ถูกกาลเทศะ ในขณะที่คนรุ่นใหม่เห็นว่า คนในองค์กรต้องมีมนุษยสัมพันธ์ ที่ดี มีความรักใคร่ สามัคคีกันเพื่อนำองค์กรไปสู่ความสำเร็จ แต่งกายตามสบาย และให้ความสำคัญกับ ผลสัมฤทธิ์ของงานที่ทำมากกว่าการแต่งกาย ด้านการศึกษา คนรุ่นเก่าเห็นว่า การศึกษาเป็นสิ่งที่สําคัญที่สุด มุ่งผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการศึกษาที่เกรดสูง ๆ และให้ความสำคัญการเรียนแพทย์ เพราะเป็นอาชีพที่มีเกียรติ คนยกย่องสูง ขณะที่คนรุ่นใหม่จะให้ความสำคัญกับศาสตร์ที่ตนสนใจและทักษะในศาสตร์ที่เรียนมากกว่า แต่ก็จำต้องเรียนตามที่คนรุ่นเก่าในครอบครัวต้องการ ซึ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงค่านิยมที่ขัดแย้ง ระหว่างตัวแทนของคนรุ่นเก่ากับคนรุ่นใหม่ที่แสดงผ่านองค์ประกอบต่าง ๆ ของละครละครซิทคอมเรื่อง บางรักซอย 9/1 ได้อย่างสนุกสนาน

This article of a qualitative research aimed to study reflections of Thai social values in Bang-ruk Soi 9/1, a sitcom. The study found three areas of social values reflected in the sitcom studied, including 1) family; 2) profession; and 3) education. Regarding family, the elder generation expected parents as good models, in all areas, for their children. Husbands and wives had to be loyal to each other. Elders should be respected. For marriage, the elders suggested a long period of courtships; and love, not anything else, was the main purpose of marrying. Contrarily, the new generation preferred the passionate love to the reasonable one. Relating to professions, the elder generation thought that supervisors should be strict and respectful for easy controlling subordinates; furthermore organization staff should dress politely and properly. For the new generation, they viewed successes of organizations based on good relationships and unities of the staff; casual dressing was sufficient and less important than work accomplishment. Concerning education, the elders regarded it the most important and required high-graded achievement; they praised physicians the honorable profession. Meanwhile, the new generation paid attention on the fields and skills they were interested in; however, they had to study as requirement of the elders in families. This reflected the contrastive values of the two generations, which entertainingly shown in all elements of the studied sitcom.
