With the in-depth implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the steady progress of the construction of the “China —— ASEAN Free Trade Zone”, the degree of Yunnan province's opening to the outside world has been significantly improved. This trend has built an unprecedented broad platform and a rare opportunity for the vigorous development of international Chinese education. This regional advantage not only significantly enhances the immersion of the language environment of international students in China, enriches their cultural perception experience, but also injects strong impetus into the innovation and development of international Chinese education. In view of this, this paper aims to select Yunnan University of Economics and Management as a typical case from the unique perspective of an independent college to carry out in-depth and systematic empirical research, in order to provide strong support for the further development of international Chinese education. Specifically, this study focuses on the teaching quality of international Chinese education for international students in China at Yunnan University of Economics and Management from 2019 to 2022. Under the guidance of the curriculum theory of higher education, this research comprehensively uses various research methods, such as literature analysis method, field survey method, questionnaire survey method and interview method, aiming to comprehensively reveal the teaching status of international Chinese education in Yunnan University of Economics and Management, deeply analyze the existing problems, and put forward targeted improvement strategies. In the aspect of research methods, this study first systematically sorts out and analyzes the relevant literature of international Chinese education for overseas students in Yunnan University of Economics and Management, in order to grasp its development context and current situation. Subsequently, through field investigation and interviews, I had an in-depth understanding of the actual situation of international Chinese education, including curriculum, teachers, teaching methods and other aspects. At the same time, this study designed a questionnaire survey, and widely collected the satisfaction and demand data of international students on international Chinese education, providing empirical support for the subsequent problem diagnosis and improvement suggestions. Through in-depth research, this study found that Yunnan University of Economics and Management has made some achievements in the international Chinese education for overseas students, but at the same time, there are also some problems, such as imperfect curriculum, simple teaching methods, and the teachers need to be strengthened. In view of these problems, this study draws on the successful experience of other independent universities in improving the teaching quality of international Chinese education for international students, and puts forward targeted improvement suggestions. These suggestions include optimizing the curriculum, innovating teaching methods and strengthening teacher training, aiming to promote the continuous improvement of the quality of international Chinese education in Yunnan University of Economics and Management. Finally, the present study summarizes the full text, pointing out the research limitations and possible future research directions. Through this study, we hope to provide useful reference and inspiration for the international Chinese education of Yunnan University of Economics and Management and even more independent colleges, and promote the continuous improvement of its teaching quality. At the same time, this study also hopes to provide scientific basis and decision-making reference for relevant departments in formulating international Chinese education policies, so as to promote the healthy development and prosperity of international Chinese education. By cultivating more compound talents with Chinese and cultural knowledge and knowledge, we will contribute to the internationalization process of international Chinese education. |
