ภาพสะท้อนสังคมไทยในวรรณกรรมของ งามพรรณ เวชชาชีวะ

Abstract

งานวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อวิเคราะห์ภาพสะท้อนสังคมไทยในวรรณกรรมของงามพรรณ เวชชาชีวะ จำนวน 11 เล่ม และนำเสนอผลการศึกษาแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า วรรณกรรมของงามพรรณ เวชชาชีวะ สะท้อนภาพสังคมไทยในด้านต่างๆ ได้แก่ 1) ด้านชีวิตความเป็นอยู่คนไทยอาศัยทั้งในชนบทและในเมืองหลวง นิยมแต่งบ้านเรือนใกล้ชิดธรรมชาติ และส่วนใหญ่ประกอบอาชีพค้าขาย 2) ด้านความเชื่อคนไทยมีความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับการดำรงชีวิต และความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับศาสนาคนไทย ส่วนใหญ่ให้ความสำคัญกับการปฏิบัติตามคำสอนทางศาสนา และขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณี 3) ด้านวัฒนธรรมสังคมไทยมีทั้งอาหารคาวและอาหารหวาน และเอกลักษณ์ของคนไทย คือ การมีมารยาทที่ดี การพูดจาสุภาพ มีการผสมผสานและรับวัฒนธรรมของจีน เช่น การไหว้เจ้าด้วยการเตรียมอาหารอย่างหลากหลาย 4) ด้านครอบครัวผู้ชายเป็นผู้นำครอบครัว สมาชิกในครอบครัวมีความรักและผูกพันต่อกัน แต่หากสมาชิกในครอบครัวมีความคิดที่แตกต่างกันอาจทำให้เกิดปัญหาในครอบครัวได้ 5) ด้านค่านิยมไทย มีค่านิยมด้านการส่งเสริมให้ลูกหลานรักการเรียนความประหยัด ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ได้รับการปลูกฝังจากผู้ใหญ่ในครอบครัว 6) ด้านปัญหาสังคมไทย ปัญหาครอบครัวแตกแยก ปัญหาการพนัน และปัญหาการใช้เส้นสายแก้ไขปัญหาต่าง ๆ ซึ่งทำให้เกิดความไม่ยุติธรรมในสังคมไทย กล่าวโดยสรุป ภาพสะท้อนสังคมที่โดดเด่นในวรรณกรรมของงามพรรณ เวชชาชีวะ คือ ภาพสะท้อนด้านวัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ อาหารไทย มารยาทไทย และประเพณีการไหว้เจ้า วัฒนธรรมเหล่านี้เป็นวัฒนธรรมสำคัญในสังคมไทย ซึ่งมีบทบาทหน้าที่สำคัญต่อทุกคนในสังคม

This research aims to analyze the Thai Social Reflection from 11 stories of Ngarmpun Vejjajiva's literature and presents the findings as descriptive analysis. The literature of Ngampun Vejjajiva reflect the social aspect as follow: 1) ways of life; people live in both countries and cities, building the houses close to nature, and earning their living by trading, 2) belief; Thai people belief have beliefs about life and religion and follow its teachings, customs and traditions, 3) Thai culture; Thai food which coversarange of savory and sweet are Thai characteristic, showing proper manners, politeness including, integrating the Chinese culture in way of worshipping god 4) families; Thai men pay the roles as the family leaders, family members love and bind to each other, but different ideas may occasionally cause conflict among members, 5) values; promoting the children to love learning and economizing which have been cultivated by the adults, 6) Thai society; Thai social problems including; family issues, gambling, and patronage system or using in flounce which cause unfairness in the society. In conclusion, the reflection of the distinguished society in Ngarmpun Vejjajiva’s literature are Thai food, manners, and worshipping god traditions.
