การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดน้ำเสียของระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียแบบสลับเป็นกะชนิดเติมอากาศและไร้อากาศ ในการบำบัดน้ำเสียจากมหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ โดยใช้ถังปฏิกิริยารูปทรงกระบอกใส ปริมาตรใช้งาน 5 ลิตร แบ่งการทดลองออกเป็น 2 ส่วน ส่วนแรกเป็นการศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพของระบบ โดยมีลำดับช่วงเวลาเติมน้ำเสียทำปฏิกิริยาที่แตกต่างกัน 3 ช่วงเวลา คือ 7 ชั่วโมง 5 ชั่วโมง และ 3 ชั่วโมง สำหรับระบบชนิดเติมอากาศ และ 24 ชั่วโมง 15 ชั่วโมง และ 5 ชั่วโมง สำหรับระบบชนิดไร้อากาศ ส่วนช่วงตกตะกอนและระบายน้ำทิ้ง กำหนดให้คงที่เป็นระยะเวลา 50 นาที และ 10 นาที ตามลำดับ การทดลองส่วนที่ 2 เป็นการศึกษาปริมาณและลักษณะของตะกอจุลินทรีย์ในระบบ
จากผลการทดลองส่วนที่ 1 พบว่า ช่วงเติมน้ำเสียและทำปฏิกิริยา 5 ชั่วโมง และ 24 ชั่วโมง เป็นช่วงเติมน้ำเสียและทำปฏิกิริยาที่เหมาะสมสำหับระบบชนิดเติมอากาศและไร้อากาศ ในการบำบัดน้ำเสียมหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ โดยระบบชนิดเติมอากาศ มีประสิทธิภาพในการบำบัดซีโอดีและทีเคเอ็นเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ 83 และร้อยละ 72 ส่วนระบบชนิดไร้อากาศ มีประสิทธิภาพในการบำบัดซีโอดีและทีเคเอ็นเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ 88 และร้อยละ 47 และพบว่า ช่วงเติมน้ำเสียและทำปฏิกิริยาที่แตกต่างกันของระบบชนิดเติมอากาศ คือ 7 ชั่วโมง 5 ชั่วโมง และ 3 ชั่วโมง ไม่ทำให้ประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดดทีเคเอ็นแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (α= 0.05) แต่ทำให้ประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดซีโอดีแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ โดยประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดซีโอดีที่ช่วงเติมน้ำเสียแต่ะทำปฏิกิริยา 7 ชั่วโมง และ 5 ชั่วโมง แตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติกับประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดซีโอดีที่ช่วงเติมน้ำเสียและทำปฏิกิริยา 3 ชั่วโมง (α= 0.05) ส่วนช่วงเติมน้ำเสียและทำปฏิกิริยาที่แตกต่างกันของระบบชนิดไร้อากาศ คือ 24 ชั่วโมง 15 ชั่วโมง และ 5 ชั่วโมง ทำให้ประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดซีโอดีแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (α= 0.05) แต่ไม่ทำให้ประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดทีเคเอ็นแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ จากผลการทดลองส่วนที่ 2 พบว่า หลังจากระบบเข้าสู่สภาวะคงที่ มีการเจริญเติบโตของจุลินทรีย์ในระบบ โดยเห็นได้จากความเข้มข้นของตะกอนจุลินทรีย์ที่มีค่าเพิ่มขึ้น และพบว่า แบคทีเรียทั้งในระบบชนิดเติมอากาศและไร้อากาศ เป็นแบคทีเรียชนิดแกรมลบ ชนิดกลมและแท่งเป็นส่วนใหญ่ นอกจากนี้ พบว่า ในระบบชนิดไร้อากาศ มีแบคทีเรียชนิดเส้นใยรวมอยู่ด้วย
The purpose of the research was to study the treatability of aerobic and anaerobic sequencing batch system for the treating oof wastewater from Huachiew Chalermprakiet University using the transparent cylindrical reactor made from acrylic with working volume of 5 L. The experiment was divided into 2 parts. The first part was to study and compare the treatability of the system, which consisted of 3 different fills and reaction periods of 7,5,3 hrs for the aerobic process and 24, 15, 5 hrs for the anaerobic process. Settlement and discharge periods were fixed at 50 min and 10 min, respectively. The second part of the experiment was to study the concentration and the physiology of sludge in the system.
From the first part of results, it was found that the fill and reaction periods of 5 hrs and 24 hrs was appropriate for the treating of Huachiew Chalermprakiet University wastewater using aerobic and anaerobic process, respectively. The average COD and TKN removal efficiency of 83% and 72% was accomplished by the aerobic process, while 88% and 47% was achieved by anaerobic process. No significant different of fill and reaction periods of the aerobic process of 7,5 and 3 hrs was observed for TKN removal efficiency (α= 0.05) but it was observed for COD removal efficiency. The significant difference of COD removal efficiency between the fill and reaction periods of 7 and 5 hrs with the fill and reaction period of 3 hrs was observed (α= 0.05). For the anaerobic process, it was revealed that the different fill and reaction periods of 24, 14 and 5 hrs provided a significant difference of COD removal efficiency (α= 0.05) but not for the TKN removal efficiency. The second part of the results showed an increase of microorganisms when study state condition was achieved, which could be seen from the increase of sludge concentration in the system. The result showed that the sludge in both aerobic and anaerobic process was gram negative bacteria with cocci and rod shape. Moreover, the existence of filamentous bacteria in the anaerobic process was also observed.
