สถานการณ์ชีวิตผู้สูงอายุและปัจจัยกำหนดความรุนแรงในผู้สูงอายุ : การสำรวจเชิงปริมาณในพื้นที่ 5 จังหวัด

Abstract

การศึกษาเชิงปริมาณนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาสถานการณ์ชีวิต ความปลอดภัยและ ความรุนแรงในผู้สูงอายุในไทย กลุ่มตัวอย่าง เป็นการสุ่มอย่างเป็นระบบชั้นภูมิโดยศึกษา ชุมชนในภาคเหนือ ภาคกลาง ภาคใต้ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ และกรุงเทพมหานครภาคละ 1 จังหวัด จ านวนรวมตัวอย่างมีทั้งสิ้น 2,204ราย เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม การวิเคราะห์ใช้โปรแกรม SPSSโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณา การวิเคราะห์สถิติเพื่อหาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวแปรโดยใช้ t test และ multiple regression ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่มีความยากลำบากทางสังคมเศรษฐกิจ ผู้สูงอายุกว่าครึ่งไม่ได้ทำงาน เมื่อพิจารณาด้านรายได้ผู้สูงอายุ พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุร้อยละ 74.5 มีรายได้ไม่ถึง 4,000 บาทต่อเดือนผู้สูงอายุอยู่ลำพังพบประมาณร้อยละ 10 ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลระดับประเทศ การศึกษาพบว่าผู้สูงอายุ ได้รับความรุนแรงด้านจิตในสัดส่วนที่สูงกว่าความรุนแรงด้านอื่นๆ รองลงมาเป็นความรุนแรงด้านทรัพย์สินการถูกละเลยทอดทิ้ง ความรุนแรงทางกาย และทางเพศปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความไม่ปลอดภัยในผู้สูงอายุและความรุนแรงต่างๆ ได้แก่ ตัวแปร เพศ อายุ รายได้ สภาวะสุขภาพ และสภาวะการพึ่งพิง เป็นปัจจัยทำนายความไม่ปลอดภัยในผู้สูงอายุ งานวิจัยนี้ มีข้อเสนอว่า แนวคิดการจัดสวัสดิการสังคม ผ่านการทำงาน เป็นทางเลือกหนึ่งที่จะทำให้ผู้สูงอายุที่ทำงานได้ สามารถพัฒนาตนเอง พึ่งตนเองได้ ผ่านการพัฒนาทักษะทางวิชาชีพ และได้รับแรงกระตุ้นจากทุกภาคส่วนให้เกิดการสร้างงานมีรายได้ในกลุ่มผู้สูงอายุ นโยบายพฤติพลัง (active aging) ที่คำนึงถึงบริบททางสังคม วัฒนธรรมของผู้สูงอายุในแต่ละพื้นที่ รวมทั้ง การสนับสนุนสร้างหุ้นส่วน เรื่อง การจัดระบบสวัสดิการชุมชน

This quantitative study aimed to investigate life situations, social security and violence among older people in Thailand. The sample was a random sampling by studying communities in the North, Central, Southern, Northeastern Regions. and Bangkok, one province with 2 communities per region, total 2,204 samples using questionnaires. The analysis was performed using SPSS program, descriptive statistics, t-test and multiple regression. This study found that most of the elderly people in the study had socioeconomic hardships, more than half of the elderly did not work. When considering the income of the elderly, it was found that 74.5 percent of the elderly had an income less than 4,000 baht per month. Elder who lived alone was found 10 percent which was similar to the data of national findings. We found that The study found that the elderly experienced a higher proportion of mental violence than other violent form, followed by property violence, neglect, physical violence and sexual violence. Factors predicting insecurity feeling and violence in the elderly included gender, age, income, health status, and dependency. This research suggests that the concept of social welfare through work is an alternative way to make working seniors able to develop oneself and be self-reliant through professional skill development. It is needed to motivate all sectors to create jobs and income among the elderly. Active aging policy should be taken into account the social and culture context of the elderly, including support to build partnerships with the organization of the community welfare system.
