อันตรายจากโรคเบาหวาน

Abstract

เบาหวานเป็นโรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรังที่เป็นปัญหาสำคัญทางสาธารณสุขของประเทศไทย การตรวจหาโรคเบาหวานจะ ใช้วิธีวัดระดับน้ำตาลในช่วงระยะเวลาที่อดอาหารและการวัดระดับน้ำตาลในเลือด เพื่อติดตามความคงทนของน้ำตาลกลูโคส ในเลือด และเพื่อการยืนยันผลว่าเป็นโรคเบาหวาน โรคเบาหวานเกิดจากความผิดปกติของระบบเมแทบอลิซึมโดยไม่สามารถ ควบคุมระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดให้คงที่ได้ สาเหตุสำคัญเกิดจากระดับและการตอบสนองต่อฮอร์โมนอินซูลินในร่างกาย โดย สามารถแบ่งกลุ่มอาการได้หลายประเภท ได้แก่ โรคเบาหวานประเภทที่ 1 มีสาเหตุความผิดปกติของระบบภูมิคุ้มกันของ ร่างกายทำลายกลุ่มเซลล์ที่อยู่ที่ตับอ่อน ทำให้ไม่สามารถสร้างฮอร์โมนอินซูลินได้ โรคเบาหวานประเภทที่ 2 มีสาเหตุจาก การที่เซลล์ต่าง ๆ ในร่างกายไม่ตอบสนองต่อฮอร์โมนอินซูลินแม้ว่าจะยังมีการสร้างและมีการไหลเวียนของฮอร์โมนอินซูลิน ในเลือด นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าในผู้หญิงที่กำลังตั้งครรภ์ก็มีการตรวจภาวะของโรคเบาหวานร่วมด้วย ในประเทศไทยนั้นพบว่า มีแนวโน้มการเพิ่มขึ้นของผู้ป่วยและผู้เสียชีวิตด้วยโรคเบาหวานเพิ่มขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2550-2557 จะเห็นได้ว่าโรคเบาหวาน นั้นส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อผู้ป่วย ครอบครัว รวมถึงมีผลกระทบต่อภาพรวมของเศรษฐกิจของประเทศที่ต้องสูญเสียทรัพยากร มนุษย์ และงบประมาณของรัฐในการรักษา สิ่งที่สำคัญสำหรับผู้ป่วยเบาหวานคือ การให้ความรู้ ความเข้าใจ และตระหนัก ถึงภาวะโรคแทรกซ้อนที่จะเกิดขึ้นจากภาวะระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดสูง การป้องกันและชะลอภาวะโรคเบาหวานด้วยการดูแล รักษาสุขภาพ การควบคุมอาหาร การออกกำลังกายอย่างสม่ำเสมอ และปฏิบัติตามคำแนะนำของแพทย์อย่างเคร่งครัด เหล่านี้ก็จะทำให้ผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวานสามารถใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับคนในสังคมได้อย่างมีความสุข

Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease which cause a serious problem of public health in Thailand. The medical diagnostic to identify diabetes mellitus patient is relied on two methods; blood sugar in the fasting state and oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). Diabetes mellitus is caused by the metabolic disorder in which there are lost the ability to maintain the blood sugar level. The key points leading to the disorder are level and the potentially respond to insulin in the body. The disorder can be classified into several categories. Diabetes type 1 is caused by autoimmune which cause the deconstruction of pancreas cells due to lost the capability to produce insulin. Diabetes type 2 is initiated by the inability to respond the insulin, although there the insulin production and can be monitored the hormone in blood circulation. Moreover, we found the pregnant who is diagnosed in the condition of diabetes mellitus called gestational diabetes mellitus. The amount of diabetes patients in Thailand have increased during the year 2007-2014. This current situation indicates the direct impact against diabetes patients and their families. In addition, the loss of human resources and the increasing of medical budget affected the overall economy of the government. The provided guidelines for diabetes patients are the knowledge, considerate and awareness about the disorder complications from the increasing of high blood sugar level. The appropriated diet, regular exercise and follow the medical instructions strictly will cause the quality of life of the diabetes patient in society.
