การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่เป็นแรงจูงใจและปัจจัยที่เป็นอุปสรรคต่อการสมัครเรียนหลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจบัณฑิต ต่อเนื่อง 2 ปี ภาคค่ำ ของมหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ และเพื่อสร้าง รูปแบบส่งเสริมการเข้าศึกษาต่อในหลักสูตรดังกล่าว ผลการศึกษาพบว่าแรงจูงใจที่ทำให้บุคคลต้องการศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาตรี คือ ความต้องการเพิ่มพูนความรู้และเพิ่มวุฒิ ส่วนอุปสรรคสำคัญคือ ปัญหาด้านการเงิน การเดินทางและการบริหารเวลา ฉะนั้น หากบุคคลจะเลือกสถาบันเพื่อศึกษาต่อจะคำนึงถึงความสะดวกในการเดินทางและสาขาวิชาที่เปิดสอนที่ตรงกับความต้องการเป็นสำคัญ สำหรับผลการศึกษาการเข้าศึกษาต่อที่มหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติพบว่า แรงจูงใจที่ทำให้บุคคลเข้าศึกษาต่อคือ ความสะดวกในการเดินทาง สาขาวิชาที่เปิดสอนตรงกับความต้องการ และชื่อเสียงของสถาบันดี ส่วนอุปสรรคจะมาจากปัจจัยส่วนตัวของนักศึกษาเอง คือ ปัญหาด้านการเงิน การเดินทาง และการบริหารเวลา นอกจากนั้นแล้ว พบว่าโดยส่วนใหญ่เคยได้ยินชื่อของมหาวิทยาลัยมาก่อน โดยรู้จักจากเพื่อนร่วมงานที่เรียนที่มหาวิทยาลัยเป็นสัดส่วนมากที่สุดและรองลงมาคือ สังเกตเห็นขณะเดินทางผ่านวิทยาเขตบางพลี สำหรับสื่อที่ทำให้คนรู้จักมหาวิทยาลัยมากที่สุดได้แก่ หนังสือพิมพ์ แต่ความถี่ของการได้รับข่าวสารของมหาวิทยาลัยจากสื่อต่างๆ ส่วนใหญ่ได้รับข่าวสารนานๆ ครั้ง และความคิดเห็นที่กลุ่มตัวอย่างทุกกลุ่มต้องการเสนอต่อมหาวิทยาลัยนั้นสอดคล้องกันทุกกลุ่มคือ มหาวิทยาลัยควรมีการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้มากขึ้น รูปแบบการส่งเสริมการเข้าศึกษาต่อสามารถทำได้โดย 1. การโฆษณาทางหนังสือพิมพ์ ทางจดหมายส่งตรงถึงผู้รับ การติดป้ายประกาศหน้ามหาวิทยาลัยและการโฆษณาทางวิทยุ 2. การขายโดยใช้บุคคล โดยอาศัยอาจารย์ผู้สอน รายวิชา การแนะแนวตามสถาบันการศึกษาต่างๆ ของแผนกแนะแนว และการออกแนะแนวของคณาจารย์ คณะบริหารธุรกิจเอง 3. การให้ข่าว โดยให้ข่าวแก่หนังสือพิมพ์เกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมของคณะบริหารธุรกิจ และการประชา-สัมพันธ์โดยเชิญชวนหน่วยงานต่างๆ ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมของคณะบริหารธุรกิจ
This research aims to study about motivation and difficulties for admission for Bachelor degree to the Faculty of Business Administration (2 years continuing, twilight program), Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU). The outcome of general research has appeared that the motivation in the pursuit of Bachelor degree is to gain higher and wider knowledge and skills. On the contrary, personal financial support, time wasted travelling to/from the campus and time management are the difficulties. It is therefore, preferred that travelling conveniently, availability of courses needed are still significant factors for choosing the institution. The outcome of this study is found that the convenince for travelling, availability of courses needed and the university’s reputation are the motivative factors for admission. But the difficulties are still personal financial support, travelling and time management. In addition to this, it appears that the majority of group has heard the name of “Huachiew” from his/her colleague who are HCU alumni while the minority has known from passing by the Bangplee campus. The target students have mostly known HCU by newspapers and other media but they are still inconsistent. Therefore, the suggestion is that HCU should pay more attention on media advertisement. The promotional strategies for admission can be done by the following : Firstly, advertising more on newspapers and radio, direct mails to students who work nearby, an outstanding cut out in front of the campus. Secondly, facilitating the application forms, out door academic advising in different institutions, Thirdly, having the articles on a newspaper regarding the activities done by the Faculty of Business Administration and inviting guests from both public and private sectors to occassionately participate in the Faculty’s activities.
