การวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ลักษณะและสถานภาพของตัวละครหญิงชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนที่เป็นผู้นำในนวนิยายไทย ใช้วิธีวิจัยเอกสาร มีขอบเขตของการวิจัยจากนวนิยาย 4 เรื่อง ได้แก่ หงส์เหนือมังกร ของ วิศวนาถ เลดี้เยาวราช ของ ทิพเกสร หงส์ ของ Shayna และไข่มุกมังกรไฟ ของ นายพันดี ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นวนิยายไทยมีตัวละครที่สะท้อนภาพผู้หญิงชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนที่เป็นผู้นำครอบครัว มีบุคลักษณะเป็นผู้นำ ในด้านลักษณะนิสัย การประกอบอาชีพและการทำธุรกิจของครอบครัว ความสามารถในการสื่อสาร การเลือกดำเนินชีวิตด้วยตัวเอง ในด้านสถานภาพของผู้หญิงชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนที่เป็นผู้นำครอบครัว ส่วนใหญ่เป็นบุตรสาวคนเดียวของครอบครัว มีการศึกษา สามารถพึ่งพาตนเอง และได้เป็นหัวหน้าครอบครัวที่รับผิดชอบสืบทอดกิจการของบิดามารดาเป็นหัวหน้ากิจการด้วยความสามารถที่เทียบเท่ากับผู้ชายที่เป็นผู้นำ
This research aimed to analyze character, elements and the status as leader of Thai-Chinese female characters in Thai novels. Four novels were studied, which were: Hong-neu-mungkorn by Wisawanart; Lady-yaowaraj by Thipkesorn; Hong by Shayna; and Kaimook-mungkorn-fie by Naipundee. The research found that the novels studied presented the character of Thai-Chinese female characters as leaders through their behavior and careers or how they run their families’ businesses. Moreover, they were capable in communication and independent in making decision relating their own lives. Most of these female characters were an only child of the family; they had good education, were independent, and inherited their families’ businesses which they could show their leadership as well as those male leaders.
