การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะการดำเนินงานด้านสังคมและวัฒนธรรมของสมาคมนักธุรกิจปักกิ่ง ประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยใช้วิธีเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนามจากการสัมภาษณ์กรรมการบริหาร สมาชิก และเจ้าหน้าที่ของสมาคมนักธุรกิจปักกิ่ง ประเทศไทย ซึ่งมีทั้งชาวจีนและชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีน จำนวน 38 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สมาคมนักธุรกิจปักกิ่ง ประเทศไทยเป็นสมาคมฯ ชาวจีนที่ก่อตั้งขึ้นในเวลาไม่นาน ซึ่งมีลักษณะเป็นสมาคมใหม่ และเป็นสมาคท้องถิ่นโดยเฉพาะปักกิ่ง ทำให้ลักษณะการดำเนินงานของสมาคมฯ ไม่เหมือนสมาคมฯ อื่นๆ ด้านภาษา สมาคมฯ ใช้ภาษาจีนกลางเป็นหลักในการสื่อสาร ด้านการจัดกิจกรรม การเชิญกลุ่มนักแสดงศิลปะจีนจากทุกมณฑลในสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนมาแสดงที่ประเทศไทย เนื่องจากกรุงปักกิ่งเป็นศูนย์รวมวัฒนธรรมของสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน การจัดกิจกรรมการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมไทยจีน เช่น การจัดการแข่งขันร้องประกวดเพลงจีนรุ่นเยาวชน เป็นต้น ด้านการดำเนินงาน สมาคมฯ ได้รับการยอมรับและสนับสนุนจากรัฐบาล องค์กร สมาคม บริษัทต่างๆ ของทั้งสองประเทศ และให้บริการเกี่ยวกับการลงทุนแก่สมาชิก มีการช่วยเหลือสมาชิกกับสังคมอีกด้วย ในด้านบทบาทสังคมและวัฒนธรรมของสมาคมฯ ในด้านวัฒนธรรม มีการสืบทอดวัฒนธรรมจีนในด้านอาหารการกิน ด้านภาษา ด้านการตกแต่งสมาคมฯ ด้านการดำเนินงานต่างๆ ในชีวิตประจำวัน ยังมีการสืบทอดวัฒนธรรมจีนในการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ ในด้านสังคม สมาคมฯ มีบทบาทช่วยสมาชิกนักลงทุนทั้งด้านธุรกิจการค้าและทั้งด้านการดำเนินชีวิต มีบทบาทการช่วยเหลือสังคม มีบทบาทการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทย จีน มีบทบาทส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์อันดีต่อกัน จึงแสดงให้เห็นว่า สมาคมฯ ได้ส่งเสริมการสืบทอดวัฒนธรรมไทยและจีนในสังคมไทย ส่งเสริมการทำธุรกิจการค้าระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศ และเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์และความเข้าใจอันดีระหว่างพลเมืองของทั้งสองประเทศ อันเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ไทยจีนให้แน่นแฟ้นมากยิ่งขึ้น
This research aimed to study the socio-cultural roles of Beijing's business association in Thailand using qualitative research methods. Field data collection tool was semi-structured interview. The 38 key informants were Chinese and Thai-Chinese who worked as board, members, and staff of the association. The results showed that the assoication has been established recently so it was new. Mandarin was used as an official language. It has been established for local Beiijing's businessman specifically therefore its enterprises were different from the others. Although it has just been established it was recognized and supported by a consortium of companies, government organizations of the two countries. Besides serving on investment to its members, the association provided support to the society in term of socio-cultural activities. Beijing is a cultural hub of China; therefore, a group of Chinese actresses were invited from every province in China to perform in Thailand. Chinese singing contest for the young generation was an example for the exchange socio-cultural activity. The association had its roles on both social and cultural ways. The Chinese culture has been passed in the dietary, language, association decoration, including daily life activities. The social role has been inherited in the activities of the association allowing members of both investor and business sides of life as social assistance, promoting economic cooperation between Thailand-China, and promoting goodwill associated with each other. The association encouraged promotion of trade between the two countries and strengthened the relationship and mutual understanding between the citizens of both countries. It was beneficial for Thailand-China relations now and in the future.
