การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาแนวความคิดและผลงานการประพันธ์ของศาสตราจารย์ พลตรี หม่อมราชวงศ์ คึกฤทธิ์ ปราโมช นักประพันธ์ไทยผู้มีเชื้อสายจีน ที่มีจุดเด่น ได้แก่ แนวความคิดด้านการเมืองการปกครอง แนวความคิดด้านเศรษฐกิจ แนวความคิดด้านสังคมและแนวความคิดวัฒนธรรมจากผลงานการประพันธ์นวนิยายต่างๆ เพื่อสะท้อนถึงแนวคิดและผลงานการประพันธ์ที่มีประโยชน์ต่อสังคมไทยและต่างประเทศ หม่อมราชวงศ์คึกฤทธิ์ ปราโมช เกิดเมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 20 เมษายน 2454 ที่ในเรือนแพริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา จังหวัดสิงห์บุรี เป็นผู้มีเชื้อสายจีน คุณปู่เป็นโอรสพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย (รัชกาลที่ 2) กับเจ้าจอมอำภา พระองค์กำเนิดที่มณฑลฟูเจียน ประเทศจีนในตระกูลแซ่ลิ้ม วัยเด็กบิดาของท่าน (ท่านพระยา) พามาประเทศไทย บิดาหม่อมราชวงศ์คึกฤทธิ์ ปราโมช คือ พลโทพระวรวงศ์เธอพระองค์เจ้าคำรบเป็นอธิบดีตำรวจไทยคนแรก ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 และเป็นหลานรัชกาลที่ 2 วัยเด็กได้เข้าเรียนการศึกษาภาคบังคับที่โรงเรียนวัฒนา (โรงเรียนวังหลัง) และได้เข้าเรียนต่อที่โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบจบมัธยมแล้วไปศึกษาต่อที่ประเทศอังกฤษที่มหาวิทยาลัยออกฟอร์ด ได้รับปริญญาตรีเกียรตินิยม (P.P.E.) สาขาปรัชญาการเมืองและเศรษฐศาสตร์ ปี พ.ศ. 2526 ได้รับปริญญาโทจากมหาวิทยาลัยออกซฟอร์ดในสาขาเดียวกัน กลับเมืองไทยได้รับตำแหน่งเลขานุการและที่ปรึกษากระทรวงการคลังภายหลังสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 ได้ก่อตั้งหนังสือพิมพ์รายวันและรายสัปดาห์ "สยามรัฐ" ทุกวันท่านจะเขียนบทความลงในหนังสือพิมพ์นี้เขียนเกี่ยวกับนวนิยายปกิณกคดี บทละคร บทกวีวิจารณ์ บทวิจารณ์การเมืองการปกครองและนิยายเรื่องสั้นมีรสชาติเผ็ดร้อนเสียดสี บทกวีของท่านได้รับความนิยมจนได้รับเกียรติ์เป็น(ปรมาจารย์บทกวีร้อยกรองถูกต้องตามฉันทลักษณในศตวรรษที่ 19 นี้) นักประพันธ์ไทยที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญ ผลงานบทประพันธ์ที่สำคัญ มีนวนิยายและนิยาย เรื่องสั้น บทปกิณกะคดี บทละคร บทวิจารณ์บทกวีและวารสารต่างๆ เช่น นวนิยาย "สี่แผ่นดิน" "ไผ่แดง" และ "โจโฉนายกตลอดกาล" ฯลฯ หม่อมราชวงศ์คึกฤทธิ์ ปราโมช เป็นนักประพันธ์ผู้ยิ่งใหญ่เพียงหนึ่งเดียวเท่านั้นในยุคร่วมสมัย ในขณะเดียวกันได้ดำรงตำแหน่งด้านการเมืองการปกครองสมาชิกวุฒิสภา รัฐมนตรีกระทรวงต่างๆ และนายกรัฐมนตรี เมื่อเดือนมิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2518 เป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีคนที่ 13 และเป็นบุคคลที่สำคัญที่ได้เชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ทางการฑูตกับประเทศสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ขณะเดียวกันมีโอกาสเยี่ยมคารวะท่านประธานเมา เซตง ปี 2531 ได้รับพระราชทานยศพลตรี และตำแหน่งศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์มีจุดเด่นพิเศษ ความสามารถชาญฉลาดในด้านวรรณศิลป์ที่แสดงออก เช่น โขน และแสดงภาพยนตร์ร่วมกับดาราฮอลิวูดส์ การวิจัยจากทฤษฎีได้แก่ ทฤษฎีการเมืองการปกครองจากระบบสมบูรณาญาสิทธิราชย์ เปลี่ยนมาเป็นระบอบประชาธิปไตย โดยมีพระมหากษัตริย์เป็นประมุข และทฤษฎีทางสังคมจากระบบศักดินาเปลี่ยนมาเป็นระบบทุนนิยม เพื่อเป็นแบบอย่างการศึกษาวิจัยที่ดีที่สุด โดยการแยกประเภทและสรุปหัวข้อด้วยเหตุผลทั้งแนวความคิดและผลงานการประพันธ์นำมาวิเคราะห์ตรงความจริงมากที่สุดเป็นภาพสะท้อนของผู้ประพันธ์ในด้านความรู้ ความสามารถที่นำมาเปรียบเทียบแนวความคิดในผลงานประพันธ์ ผลการวิจัย ม.ร.ว. คึกฤทธิ์ ปราโมช นักประพันธ์ไทยผู้มีเชื้อสายจีนที่เขียนวรรณกรรมที่โดดเด่นมีคุณค่ามากมาย เป็นนักการเมืองระดับผู้นำประเทศ นักเศรษฐศาสตร์ และศิลปินดีเด่นแห่งชาติ ได้เป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีต่ออนุชนรุ่นหลัง สรุปผลการวิจัย ความคาดหวังของการวิจัยครั้งนี้ อาจจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการวิจัยในอนาคต เพื่อจะนำเอาเรื่องที่วิจัยแล้วเป็นเอกสารอ้างอิงต่อไป
The objective of this research paper is to study the biography of Professor Major General Momrajawong (M.R.) Kukrit Pramoj in terms of his Chinese ancestry and his ideology in writing. We will see how his background and ideals helped this famous intellect to create numerous outstanding works. In addition, this research will also study how his literature and wisdom have benefited society in Thailand and other countries. M.R. Kukrit was born on April 20, 1911, in a floating houseboat on the banks of the Chaopraya River in Singburi Province. M.R. Kukrit was the Great Grandson of King Rama II of the Chakri Dynasty (King Phra Phuttaloetla) and Chao Chom Umpar. His Chinese descent came from his Great Grandmother, Chao Chom (the title for a sovereign's consort who was born of a commoner) Umphar. She was a Chinese Lady that was born in "Lim Klan", in the Fu Jian District of China. She was brought to Thailand by her father when she was a child. Later her Father presented her to the palace to perform as a classical dancer. M.R. Kukrit's father was His Highness (Phra Worawong Ther Phra Ong Chao) Brigadier General Prince Kamrop. This Prince was appointed to be the first Chief of Police in Thailand during the reign of King Rama V (King Chulalongkorn). When he was young, M.R. Kukrit attended the Wattana Academy for his primary education and later attended the Suankularb Wittayalai School for his elementary education. Being a person from an aristocratic family, he traveled to England to study and obtain his Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (P.P.E.) at the Queen's College, Oxford University. Here his scholarly aura started to shine and M.R. Kukrit obtanied his Bachelors of Arts with Honors. He was the first Thai person to ever receive an Honorable Degree from the faculty at Oxford University. When he returned to Thailand M.R. Krkrit began his first career as a secretary and consultant for the Revenue Department at the Ministry of Finance. After the second World War, he established a daily and weekly newspaper which he called "Siamrath". Since than, M.R. Kukrit had adopted another role as a journalist. He wrote interesting articles every day to be published in his newspapers. His various kinds of writing included; articles, poems, non-fiction, novels, and translated Chinese novels (in English to Thai), informal essays, scripts for plays and reviews. His vivid reviews contanied a sense of humor combines with fierce sarcasms regardless of the subject matter, either drama or politics. M.R. Kukrit's poems were so popular, he received an honorary title of "The Master of Poetry who utilized the most accurate poetic prosody". Furthermore, he was regarded highly as a very skilled writer for the 19th century generation. He was named a "National Artist" for literature in 1985, and he received The Special Commemorative Prize of The Fukuoka Asian Culture Prizes in 1990. In addition, M.R. Kukrit achieved the title of "Professor in Literature" from Thammasat University. Some of his famous novels included; "Si Phaendin" (Four Reigns-was translated to five languages), "Phai Daeng" (Red Bamboo) and "Jo Cho-Nayok Talordgarn" (Jo Cho-Forever Prime Minister). Not only well knowe for the role as the greatest author of this generation, M.R. Kukrit was also very successful in his political en devours. He was appointed to be a Senator, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand, Minister of many Ministries and eventually, M.R. Kukrit held the glorious title of Thailand 13th Prime Minister in June of 1975. During his political career, an important agenda of M.R. Kukrit was to M.R. Kukrit was to re-establish the diplomatic relationship between Thailand and China. As proof that his political policy regarding China was successful, M.R. Kukrit was a given a remarkable opportunity to be a guest of China's most powerful Stateman. Mao Tse-Tung, the President of China's Communist Party in 1975. That event was a historical on because M.R. Kukrit was the very first Thai Prime Minister and the first Thai royal descendant to ever make a formal visitation to China. It was written in history that the Chinese government arranged an extraorinary welcome ceremony for him and his entourage. Because of this visit, the diplomatic ties between the two countries were re-established and remain strong untile present time. M.R. Kukrit was a royalist that was very dedicated to, and served the royal monarchy his entire life. Because of this, and despite never havibg served in the Royal Thai Military, in 1988 he was given an honorary rank of "Major General". Method of research; this research will study M.R. Kukrit's famous literature in detail, in order to understand his concepts, thoughts, wisdoms and even some turmoils caused by his writing. This research will also analuze his thoughts regarding bureaucratic systems, democratic system, socialist systems and capitalist systems which existed in his writing. M.R. Kukrit was a man of many talents, and proved himself to be a great politician, a successful writer, an expert in culture and economics as well as many other areas. His life was interesting for people generations who wish to learn from him and many regard him as their role model. Lastly and importanyly, this research will specifically study his biography as a Thai scholar with Chinese ancestry, who played a significant role in Thailand and Chinese literature and politics.
本论文的研究对象是泰国作家克立‧巴莫亲王的思想与创作，论文主要是研究了克立‧巴莫亲王的思想特点，例如：政治思想﹑经济思想﹑社会思想和文化思想，具体分析克立‧巴莫亲王的长篇小说，散文和中国古典小说翻译等创作的写作动机。本论文的目的是为了分研究探讨作者的思想和创作对泰外国社会的影响。
克立‧巴莫亲王1911年4月20日出生在泰国中部信武里府的一条停泊在湄南河岸的船上，他有华人血统，其祖父是曼谷王朝第二世皇的儿子，曾祖母是曼谷王朝第二世皇的 “昭宗安帕” 王妃。她出生在中国福建省姓林家族，自幼随父来泰。克立‧巴莫亲王的父亲是泰国第一任警察总监。在曼谷王朝第五世皇时代，他在曼谷“ 哇他那 ” 学校和 “ 玫瑰园中校 ” 读书读完中小学后他去英国牛津大学留学。他成绩优秀毕业后获学士位，他在校期间攻读了哲学，政治和经济学。回国后他担任财政部顾问兼秘书，曼谷商业银行总裁和法政大学教授。第二次世界大战后他创办了《 沙炎叻》“ 暹罗国 ”日报和《 沙炎叻周刊 》等刊物，并且开始文学创作，他几乎天天要为自己办的报刊撰稿。他的写作题材范围很广，有长篇小说﹑散文﹑剧本﹑诗歌评论。他所写的政论文章，短篇小说以辛辣，讽刺著称。他的诗歌也颇受欢迎。他被称为泰国格伦格律诗大师（格伦格律诗是泰国诗体之一种），从十九世纪起到现在， 一直在泰国诗坛上流行。克立‧巴莫亲王是泰国的当代文豪。他的主要作品有长篇小说﹑短篇小说﹑散文﹑戏剧，诗歌评论和杂志等。著名的作品有《 四朝代》，《 红竹村 》，《终身总理曹操 》等。他是泰华现当代作家中伟大的作家之一。同时克立‧巴莫亲王也是泰国一位有声望的政治家，他担任过议长部长和国务院长等职。1975年6月克立‧巴莫亲王当任泰国第十三位国务总理，他是二十世纪中一位为建立泰中外交关系正常化的主要人物，他曾经拜访过中国领袖毛泽东主席，促成泰中建交。他是中国人民一位真诚的好朋友。公元1988年由于他特出的机智与才华泰皇御任他为陆军少将位和大学教授。
在研究方法方面，本论文以文本为参照，适当地做出分类和归纳，梳理出克立‧巴莫亲王的创作思想，注重他的作品研究。作品是反映作者创作思想的最忠实的镜子，它能如实反映作者的创作思想学识和心态等。在理论依据方面，本论文分析了克立‧巴莫亲王的思想与他的作品，以及他对封建制度，民主主义，社会主义的分析与资本主义的看法，从研究结果中我们可以看到作者是一位伟大的政治家﹑经济家，文化家和文学家，也是一位对中泰文学界与政治变革有极大贡献的华裔人士。他的思想与创作是泰国社会发展的一面镜子在泰国现当代文学中具有重要的地位。
