ปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์ต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี

Abstract

การวิจัยเรื่อง “ปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์ต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี” เป็นการศึกษาวิจัยแบบพหุกรณีใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงความสัมพันธ์ของปัจจัยด้านผู้ใช้บริการด้านระบบค้นคืนสารสนเทศและด้านผู้ให้บริการกับการตัดสินใจค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ศึกษาเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างของปัจจัยด้านผู้ใช้บริการด้านระบบค้นคืนสารสนเทศ และด้านผู้ให้บริการกับการตัดสินใจค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคและน้ำหนักความสําคัญของปัจจัยทั้ง 3 ด้านกับการตัดสินใจค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่ศึกษาในสถาบันอุดมศึกษาของเอกชนและของรัฐ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง 2 กลุ่ม คือ นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่กําลังศึกษาในมหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ จํานวน 200 คน เป็นตัวแทนมหาวิทยาลัยของเอกชน และนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่กําลังศึกษาในจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยจํานวน 175 คนเป็นตัวแทนมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ ผลการวิจัยมีดังนี้ 1.ความสัมพันธ์ของปัจจัยทั้ง 3 ด้านกับการตัดสินใจค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่ศึกษาในสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชนและของรัฐ พบว่าปัจจัยด้านผู้ใช้บริการ ด้านระบบการค้นคืนสารสนเทศ และด้านผู้ให้บริการมีความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกกับการตัดสินใจเลือกค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพค 2. การเปรียบเทียบปัจจัยทั้ง 3 ด้านกับการตัดสินใจค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่ศึกษาในสถาบันอุดมศึกษาของเอกชนและของรัฐ พบว่า ปัจจัยด้านผู้ใช้บริการ ได้แก่ ความรู้เกี่ยวกับวิธีการใช้โอแพค และปัจจัยด้านผู้ให้บริการ ได้แก่ ความมีมนุษยสัมพันธ์ของบรรณารักษ์/เจ้าหน้าที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อการตัดสินใจค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชนและของรัฐ แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติส่วนปัจจัยด้านระบบการค้นคืนสารสนเทศไม่แตกต่างกัน 3.น้ำหนักความสําคัญของปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีที่ศึกษาในสถาบันอุดมศึกษาของเอกชนและของรัฐ พบว่าปัจจัยด้านผู้ใช้บริการ ได้แก่ ประสบการณ์การใช้ห้องสมุด วัตถุประสงค์การค้นคืน ความถี่ในการใช้โอแพค ความรู้เกี่ยวกับวิธีการใช้ความสําเร็จในการค้นคืนสารสนเทศและความพึงพอใจในการค้นคืน ปัจจัยของระบบการค้นคืนสารสนเทศ ได้แก่ เทคนิคการค้นคืน และปัจจัยของผู้ให้บริการ ได้แก่ ความมีมนุษยสัมพันธ์ของบรรณารักษ์/เจ้าหน้าที่มีน้ำหนักความสําคัญที่ส่งผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกค้นคืนสารสนเทศโดยใช้โอแพคของนักศึกษาแตกต่างกัน

“Factors Related to Decision Making of Undergraduate Students on Information Retrieval by OPAC” is a quantitative research which intends to study the relationship between the factors and decision making of undergraduate students studying in both private and government universities on information retrieval by OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog). The study includes the comparison of variable factors that related to the decision making on information retrieval by OPAC and weights of importance of variable factors that related to the decision making of the undergraduate students on information retrieval by OPAC. The samples consisted of 2 groups of undergraduate students; 200 HCU undergraduate students representing the private universities and 175 CU undergraduate students representing the government universities. The results of the research were as follows: 1.The factors of users, information retrieval system, and librarians/library staff have related positively on decision making of the undergraduate students on information retrieval by OPAC. 2.In comparison of variable factors, the knowledge on how to use OPAC by users between the private and government universities’ undergraduate students showed a statistical significant difference relating on decision making on information retrieval, while there has been no difference in the information retrieval system. The human relationship of the providers (librarians and staff) showed a statistical significant difference relating on decision making on information retrieval between the private and government universities’ undergraduate students. 3.The weights given to variable factors by private and government universities’ undergraduate students were different. The private and government universities’ undergraduate students showed different weights given to library experiences, search purposes, frequency of using OPAC, and knowledge on how to use OPAC, the success of information retrieval, and the satisfaction by the using OPAC which related to the decision making of using the OPAC system. Moreover, the weights given to the users’ techniques in using system and the human relationship of the librarians and staff which related to the decision making using the OPAC system by both private and government universities’ undergraduate students were also different.
