ภาพสะท้อนการก่อร่างสร้างตัวของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในสังคมไทยจากนวนิยายไทย

Abstract

งานวิจัยเรื่อง ภาพสะท้อนการก่อร่างสร้างตัวของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในสังคมไทยจากนวนิยายไทย มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อวิเคราะห์ภาพสะท้อนการก่อร่างสร้างตัวของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในสังคมไทยจากนวนิยายไทย และเพื่อวิเคราะห์คุณธรรมจริยธรรมของกลุ่มคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในสังคมไทยจากนวนิยายไทย ผลจากการศึกษาวิเคราะห์นวนิยาย 5 เรื่อง ได้พบว่า ด้านการทำงาน คนไทยเชื้อสายจีนขยันทำกิจการงานทุกชนิด ไม่เลือกงาน ไม่เกี่ยงงาน กล้าได้กล้าเสีย จนประสบความสำเร็จในด้านครอบครัว จะนิยมมีครอบครัวที่มีขนาดใหญ่ มีลูกหลานจำนวนมาก โดยมีผู้ชายมากกว่าผู้หญิงเพื่อสืบตระกูล ในด้านคำสั่งสอน คนไทยเชื้อสายจีนจะสั่งสอนลูกหลานด้วยคุณธรรม ซื่อสัตย์สุจริต กตัญญูกตเวที ขยันหมั่นเพียรและอดทน พึ่งตัวเอง ประหยัด และถ่อมตัวในด้านความเชื่อ คนไทยเชื้อสายจีนยังรักษาเอาไว้ได้อย่างดี ในด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงของการดำเนินชีวิตจองคนไทยเชื้อสายจีน ได้สะท้อนชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีน สร้างเนื้อสร้างตัวจากเสื่อผืนหมอนใบ จนกลายเป็นมหาเศรษฐีในด้านนโยบายเศรษฐกิจและการดำเนินธุรกิจ คนไทยเชื้อสายจีนส่วนใหญ่จะเริ่มต้นด้วยการทำธุรกิจขนาดเล็ก ๆ และค่อยๆ ขยายจนกลายเป็นธุรกิจอันใหญ่โต และนโยบายของประเทศไทยก็มีความสำคัญต่อการดำเนินการธุรกิจของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีน

In an examination of Thai novels, this research aims to analyze reflections of the settlement and the moral conduct of Chinese-Thais in Thai society. The scope of this study is an analysis of Lodlaimaongkorn by Prapatsorn Sevikul, Gang Tee Trakul Song by Pensiri Botun, Kleeb Sudtai by Karntima, Bo Be by Warapha, and A-Pa by Jittra Kornuntakiat. The hypothesis of this study is that reflections in Thai novels of Chinese-Thais settling in Thai society enable readers to understand the ways in which Chinese people lived – the struggles they underwent and the obstacles they overcome – when settling in Thailand under His Majesty’s moral authority, with these Chinese maintaining their gratefulness, diligence, and honesty for success. From an examination of these five novels, it can be seen that Thai-Chinese area diligent in every field of work and never turn down work; they are courageous, and will undergo challenges until they meet with success. They prefer large families with many children, with boys outnumbering girls on order to continue their family lineage. They teach their children to live with morality, honesty, gratefulness, diligence, tolerance, self-reliance, frugality and modesty. As regards belief, Chinese-Thais are good at maintaining their beliefs. As regards their progress through life, Chinese-Thais, in establishing themselves, move from owning very little other than the shirts on their backs to being very wealthy people. Regarding business and economic policy, they start out with a small business, which they gradually expand until it has become large (but with the policies of Thailand being important to the development of their business). In addition to discussing reflections of the settlement of Chinese-Thais in Thai society, this research also has an influence on the moral conduct of readers and society; it suggests that having responsibility towards one’s family is a fundamental virtue in raising a family and an important virtue in doing business. In addition, honesty, gratefulness, diligence, tolerance, self-reliance, frugality, and modesty are all important in living.
