ความรู้และพฤติกรรมด้านความปลอดภัยของพนักงานเก็บขนขยะ องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบล อำเภอบางพลี จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณนาแบบตัดขวาง (Cross-sectional Descriptive Study) มี วัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความรู้และพฤติกรรมด้านความปลอดภัยของพนักงานเก็บขนขยะองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบล อำเภอบางพลี จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ จำนวน 100 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม ใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณาวิเคราะห์ ข้อมูลและใช้ Chi-Square เพื่อทดสอบความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวแปรที่ศึกษา ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พนักงานเก็บขนขยะ ส่วนใหญ่ร้อยละ 95.00 เป็นเพศชาย ร้อยละ 5.00 เพศหญิง ส่วนใหญ่ร้อยละ 64.00 มีอายุมากกว่า 40 ปี อายุเฉลี่ย 42.09 ปี มีอายุการทำงานเฉลี่ย 8.29 ปี สภาพการจ้างงาน ร้อยละ 44 เป็นลูกจ้างชั่วคราว ระยะเวลาการทำงานเฉลี่ย ต่อวัน 7.88 ชั่วโมง น้ำหนักของถังขยะที่ยกเฉลี่ย 59.75 กิโลกรัม ส่วนใหญ่ร้อยละ 79 ไม่มีโรคประจำตัวและส่วนใหญ่ ร้อยละ 74 ไม่เคยได้รับอุบัติเหตุ ขณะปฏิบัติงาน พนักงานเก็บขนขยะส่วนใหญ่ ร้อยละ 50.00 มีระดับความรู้ด้าน ความปลอดภัยอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และส่วนใหญ่ ร้อยละ 81.00 มีพฤติกรรมด้านความปลอดภัยอยู่ในระดับดี ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมด้านความปลอดภัยได้แก่ อายุ พนักงานเก็บขนขยะที่มีอายุมากกว่า 40 ปีขึ้นไปมีระดับพฤติกรรมอยู่ในระดับดี (p-value < 0.041) และสถานภาพการจ้างงาน พนักงานเก็บขนขยะที่มี สถานภาพการจ้างงานเป็นลูกจ้างประจำและลูกจ้างชั่วคราว มีระดับพฤติกรรมอยู่ในระดับดี (p-value < 0.009) ส่วนปัจจัยที่ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมด้านความปลอดภัย ได้แก่ เพศ อายุการทำงาน โรคประจำตัว การสูบบุหรี่ การดื่มเครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ การดื่มเครื่องดื่มชูกำลัง การประสบอุบัติเหตุขณะทำงาน ระดับความรุนแรงที่ได้รับอุบัติเหตุ ปัจจัยด้านความรู้ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมด้านความปลอดภัยในการทำงาน

This was a cross-sectional descriptive research, aimed to study knowledge and safety behavior of 100 garbage collectors of sub-district administration organization, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province. Data was collected using questionnaires. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data and used Chi-Square to test the relationship between the studied variables. The results of the study showed that most of the garbage collection workers (95.00 percent) were males, 5.00 percent females, 64.00 percent were older than 40 and the average age was 42.09 years, with an average working age of 8.29 years, and 44 percent of them were temporary workers. The average daily working time was 7.88 hours, the weight of the bin lifted on average 59.75 kg, 79% had no congenital disease, and 74 percent had never been involved in an accident. While working, most of the garbage collection workers 50.00% had a moderate level of safety knowledge and 81.00% had good safety behavior. Personal factors related to safety behavior were age of garbage collector over 40 years of age, behavior level at a good level (p-value <0.041) and employment status. Garbage collector with employment status as permanent and temporary employees’s behavioral level was at the (p-value <0.009) level, while the factors that did not correlate with the safety behaviors were gender, age, work, personal disease, smoking, alcohol consumption, drinking energy drinks, having an accident while working, and severity of the accident. Knowledge factor was not related to occupational safety behavior.
