ภาพสะท้อนสังคมของชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนในนวนิยายของ ประภัสสร เสวิกุล

Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์ เรื่อง ภาพสะท้อนสังคมของชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนในนวนิยายของประภัสสร เสวิกุล มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อวิเคราะห์ภาพสะท้อนสังคมของชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนในนวนิยายของประภัสสร เสวิกุล และเพื่อวิเคราะห์อิทธิพลของนวนิยายของประภัสสร เสวิกุล ที่มีต่อผู้อ่าน ขอบเขตของการวิจัย คือ วิเคราะห์นวนิยายของประภัสสร เสวิกุล เฉพาะที่มีเนื้อเรื่องที่เกี่ยวกับชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนเท่านั้น จำนวน 6 เรื่อง ได้แก่ เหลื่อมไหมลายเหมย ลอดลายมังกร สำเภาทอง ซิงตึ๊ง กุหลาบจีน ขอหมอนใบนั้น...ที่เธอฝันยามหนุน ผลจากการวิจัยพบว่า นวนิยายของประภัสสร เสวิกุล ทั้ง 6 เรื่อง ได้สะท้อนภาพสังคมของชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนอย่างเด่นชัด ชาวจีนอพยพที่อยู่ในเมืองไทย จะต้องเผชิญความยากลำบากและปัญหาต่างๆ ซึ่งสภาพความเป็นอยู่ของชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนแม้จะเจริญรุ่งเรืองในด้านการค้า แต่ชาวจีนอพยพที่อยู่ในประเทศไทยอย่างเสื่อผืนหมอนใบนั้นส่วนมากยังคงใช้ชีวิตอย่างประหยัดและขมขื่นด้วยความยากจนและความไรปัจจัยการผลิต ตองต่อสู้กับความยากจน เมื่อชาวจีนอพยพเข้ามาในประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นเมื่องที่ไกลจากบ้านเกิดของตนเองแล้ว การมีสายเลือดเดียวกันจึงทำให้พวกเขาอยู่รวมกันเป็นชุมชนและช่วยเหลือเกื้อกูลกัน ด้านเศรษฐกิจและการประกอบอาชีพ ชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนส่วนใหญ่จะเริ่มต้นด้วยการค้าขาย ใช้แรงงาน และทำธุรกิจขนาดเล็ก พอสะสมเงินทองได้จำนวนพอสมควรก็ค่อยๆ ขยายจนกลายเป็นธุรกิจอันใหญ่โต ด้านการสั่งสอน ชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนจะสั่งสอนลูกหลานให้มีคุณธรรม ได้แก่ ความซื่อสัตย์สุจริต ความกตัญญูกตเวที ความขยันหมั่นเพียร ความอดทน การพึ่งตัวเอง ความประหยัด และความถ่อมตัว ด้านความเชื่อและขนบธรรมเนียมและประเพณี ขาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนรุ่นเก่ายังคงรักษาไว้ได้อย่างดี แต่พอถึงรุ่นหลัง ความสำคัญที่ให้กับขนบธรรมเนียมและประเพณีเก่าๆ ค่อยๆ ลดลง ด้านอิทธิพลของวรรณกรรมที่มีต่อผู้อ่าน พบว่า นวนิยายของ ประภัสสร เสวิกุล ทั้ง 6 เรื่อง ทำให้ผู้อ่านได้เข้าใจสภาพความเป็นอยู่ของชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนได้มากขึ้น ผู้เขียนได้ปลูกฝะงคุณธรรม จริยธรรมแก่ผู้อ่าน ในดด้านความกตัญญู ความซื่อสัตย์สุจริต และการทำความดีไม่ทำความชั่ว ผู้เขียนได้กระตุ้นให้ผู้อ่านมีความเข้มแข็งและอดทนเพื่อต่อสู้กับโชคชะตาชีวิต สั่งสอนผู้อ่านให้รู้จักใช้ชีวิตอย่างประหยัดและพอเพียง ตักเตือนผู้อ่านให้ห่างไกลจากการพนันหรือสิ่งที่ผิดกฎหมาย ชักชวนให้คนในสังคมรู้จักการช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกัน กระตุนให้เห็นความสำคัญของผู้หญิงและยุติความรุนแรงในครอบครัว ประภัสสร เสวิกุล ยังชี้นำในด้านการดำเนินเศรษฐกิจ เช่น เริ่มจากบันไดขั้นแรก มีความขยัน อดทน ประหยัด และที่สำคัญในด้านการดำเนินเศรษฐกิจ เช่น เริ่มจากบันได้ขั้นแร มีความขยัน อดทน ประหยัด และที่สำคัญต้องมีความรู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับธุรกิจที่ตัวเองดำเนินการ ความซื่อสัตย์สุจริตที่มีต่อลูกค้าและใช้คนให้เป็น

"Chinese society in the novel of Prabhassorn Sevikul" has the purpose to analze the reflection of Thai Chinese society in the novel of Prabhassorn Sevikul and analyze the influence of Prabhassorn Sevikul's novels towards reader. The scope of research is to analyze the novels of Prabhassorn Seviluk, especially the story about Thai Chinese people which are six novels: "Lerm Mai Lai Moei", "Lord Lai Mangkorn", "Sam Phao Thong", "Sing Tung" , "Ku Larb Chine" and "Khor Morn Bai Nan Thee Ther Fun Yam Noon" The research finds 6 novels of Prabhassorn Sevikul obviously reflect society reflect society of Thai Chinese people. Chinese people who migranted to Thailad face the difficulties and various problems. Even though Thai Chinese is successful in trading, most of Chinese people, who immigrate with few stuffs from China, live with saving and bitter of poverty and non productive in order to tackle with the poverty. When Chinese people who immigrate to Thailand where is far from their hometown cohabit in community, they help each other. For economy and earning their life, most of Thai Chinese start from trading, laboring and doing small business. Once they accumulate a sum of money, they expand their business. Besides Thai Chinese instruct their descendants to having the moral as honesty, gratitude, diligence, patience, self-reliance, frugality and modesty. Moreover, elder Thai Chinese maintain well their belief, culture and tradition. But the later generation gradually decreases the importance to their belief, culture and tradition. Next, for the influence of novels of Prabhassorn Sevikul towards reader, these 6 novels make the reader understand more about Thai Chinese's living. The author educates the readers about the moral as the gratitude, honesty, goodwill, etc. He motivates the reader to be strong and patient in order to fight with their fate. He instructs the readers to live with frugality and adequacy. He also advices the readers to stay away from the gamble and illegal articles. The author pursues the others in the society to help each other. Moreover, he encourages the readers to give the importance to female and to stop the family violence. Prabhassorn Sevikul also directs in running the business as starting with diligence, patience and frugality. Especially, they need to know well about their own business. They must be honest to their clients and dedicate the right job to the right person.
