อัตลักษณ์ความเป็นแต้จิ๋วในนวนิยายเรื่อง ฟ้าลิขิต: จากซัวเถาสู่สยาม

Abstract

งานบทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์อัตลักษณ์ความเป็นแต้จิ๋วที่ปรากฏในนวนิยายเรื่อง ฟ้าลิขิต: จากซัวเถาสู่สยาม โดยใช้วิธีวิจัยเอกสารและวิเคราะห์ตัวบทนวนิยาย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นวนิยายเรื่องนี้ได้นำเสนอ อัตลักษณ์ความเป็นแต้จิ๋วใน 5 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) ด้านอาหารการกิน สะท้อนความพิถีพิถันในการเลือกสรรวัตถุดิบที่เน้น รสธรรมชาติ และการใช้อาหารเป็นสัญญะทางวัฒนธรรมเพื่อสร้างสิริมงคล 2) ด้านค่านิยม โดดเด่นเรื่องความมุมานะ บากบั่น ความกตัญญูต่อบุพการี และจิตสำนึกรักในมาตุภูมิ 3) ด้านประเพณีความเชื่อ ยึดโยงกับวิถีปฏิบัติในการไหว้ เจ้าขอบุตร พิธีสมรสที่แฝงนัยยะมงคล และการรำลึกบรรพบุรุษในวันเช็งเม้ง 4) ด้านภาษาเป็นสื่อกลางถ่ายทอดคำสอนผ่านสำนวนสุภาษิตและการตั้งชื่อลูกหลานเพื่อสืบทอดเจตนารมณ์ และ 5) ด้านศิลปะการแสดง สะท้อนผ่านงิ้วแต้จิ๋วอันเป็นมหรสพที่รวบรวมศาสตร์และศิลป์ในการหล่อหลอมวินัยและโลกทัศน์ของชาวแต้จิ๋วไว้ได้อย่างครบถ้วน ทั้งนี้ การวิจัยครั้งนี้ช่วยชี้ให้เห็นว่า อัตลักษณ์ความเป็นแต้จิ๋วที่ปรากฏในนวนิยายเรื่องนี้ทำหน้าที่เป็นเครื่องมือทางจิตวิญญาณที่ชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนใช้ยึดเหนี่ยวเพื่อความอยู่รอดท่ามกลางมรสุมทางการเมือง

This research article aims to analyze the Teochew-ness identity portrayed in the novel Fah Likhit: From Shantou to Siam, employing a documentary research method based on the literary text. The findings reveal that the novel presents Teochew-ness identity through five dimensions: 1) Culinary culture: reflecting meticulousness in selecting ingredients that emphasize natural flavors, and the use of food as a cultural symbol for auspiciousness; 2) Values: highlighting perseverance, filial piety, and a deep sense of attachment to the motherland; 3) Traditions and beliefs: rooted in the practices of praying to deities for offspring, wedding ceremonies embedded with auspicious meanings, and ancestor remembrance during the Qingming Festival; 4) Language: serving as a medium to transmit teachings through idioms and proverbs, as well as the naming of descendants to carry on the family's legacy; and 5) Performing arts: reflected through Teochew opera, a comprehensive theatrical art that integrates various disciplines to shape the discipline and worldview of the Teochew people. Furthermore, this research highlights that the Teochew-ness identity depicted in this novel functions as a spiritual anchor that Thai-Chinese people relied upon for survival amidst political turmoil.
