《南风吹梦》的父亲形象研究

Abstract

นวนิยายเรื่องจดหมายจากเมืองไทยเป็นนวนิยายเรื่องเด่นของนักประพันธ์ไทยเชื้อสายจีนที่ใช้นามปากกา โบตั๋น ตัวเอกของนวนิยายเรื่องนี้เป็นคนจีนที่อพยพมาอยู่เมืองไทยเป็นเวลานานกว่า 20 ปี ผ่านประสบการณ์ชีวิตและการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมตลอดเวลา นวนิยายเรื่องนี้ยังสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความเป็นอยู่และวัฒนธรรมที่หลากหลายของคนแต่ละประเทศ วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้เน้นศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ภาพลักษณ์ตัวละครที่มีบทบาทเป็น "พ่อ" ในนวนิยายเรื่องดังกล่าวรวมถึงชี้ให้เห็นถึงคุณค่าทางสังคมของผู้เป็นพ่อ อีกทั้งยังเจาะลึกเหตุผลในการสร้างภาพลักษณ์พ่อแต่ละแบบของผู้ประพันธ์ ในวิทยานิพนธ์นี้ผู้เขียนเริ่มด้วยการแยกแยะภาพลักษณ์พ่อในแบบต่างๆ ที่ปรากฏในนวนิยายจากนั้น จึงจัด กลุ่มตัวละคร "พ่อ" ซึ่งผู้เขียนสามารถแบ่งแยกพ่อในนวนิยายออกเป็น 2 กลุ่มใหญ่ คือ กลุ่มแรก คือ ตัวละครที่อยู่ในบทบาทของพ่อตั้งแต่เริ่มปรากฏตัวในนวนิยาย กลุ่มที่สอง คือ ตัวละครที่ปรากฏตัวในนวนิยายตั้งแต่ยังเป็นลูกเป็นสามีจนกระทั่งพัฒนามาเป็นพ่อในที่สุด ผู้เขียนยังได้ศึกษาเปรียบเทียบภาพลักษณ์ของพ่อในนวนิยายเรื่องนี้กับภาพลักษณ์ของพ่อในนวนิยายที่ผ่านๆ ว่า มีการสืบสานหรือลบล้างภาพลักษณ์พ่อในอดีตหรือไม่อย่างไร นอกจากนี้ ผู้เขียนได้เน้นถึงความสำคัญของบทบาทผู้เป็นพ่อในด้านสังคมเศรษฐกิจการดำเนินชีวิตโดยเริ่มจากภาพลักษณ์ของพ่อ ที่ดุร้ายในสมัยศักดินาที่ต้องเจอกับความท้าทายที่เริ่มไม่ยอมสยบอยู่ใต้อำนาจของผู้ชาย ผู้เขียนยังได้ชี้ให้เห็นภาพลักษณ์ของพ่อหัวโบราณที่เริ่มมีข้อจำกัดและมีความขัดแย้งกับครอบครัวสมัยใหม่ ตอนท้ายของวิทยานิพนธ์ได้สรุปประเด็นที่กล่าวมาแล้ว และสรุปเหตุผลของผู้ประพันธ์ในการสร้างภาพลักษณ์พ่อในแบบต่างๆ ขึ้นมาผู้เขียนยอมรับภาพลักษณ์ด้านบวกของพ่อหัวโบราณยกย่องพ่อชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลที่สร้างเนื้อสร้างตัวด้วยจิตใจที่มุ่งมั่นอีกทั้งตั้งคำถามกับการผูกขาดอำนาจของพ่อรวมถึงชื่นชมผู้หญิงที่ตื่นตัวต่อโลกยุคใหม่

Letter from Thailand is the representative work of Chinese Thai woman writer Mu Da. The novel depicts the life experience of the heroine living in Thailand and the social change during the 20 years, showing the colorful exotic amorous feelings and humanities pictures. Base on the novel, the paper has conducted meta analysis to analyze the father images, focusing on the social meaning contained in the father images and exploring the reason of describing the image. Firstly, the paper refined and analyzes the single father image in the novel, classification conducted after separate characteristics concluded, and drawing 2 kinds of father images: "one step" and "development". The "one step" finger refers to those who appear as a father in the very beginning of the novel, while "development" refers to whose whole process of being "son-husband-father" has been depicted in the novel. Later, comparison has been made between the father images in this novel and the traditional ones, exploring the inheritance and subversion. Then, the paper explores the social meaning of the father images. Based on the fully recognized of the important roles father play in social economic and life activities, starting from the feudal deep-rooted bad habits of the father image, the paper puts forward the gradully awakening female consciousness challenging the patriarchal society represented by father. At last, through the conflicts with the modern family, the paper reveals the time limitation of the traditional father images in modern society. Finally, summarizing the above work, the paper explores the reason of depiciting the series of father images. There are praise to the traditional father and tribute to spirit of those fathers who has special identity-overseas Chinese enterprising spirit, as well as the question and patriarchy to clear female consciousness.
