泰国华文教育小说中家庭教育观念的审视

Abstract

ช่วงศตวรรษที่ 20 เป็นช่วงประวัติศาสตร์ที่เต็มไปด้วยการนองเลือดและไฟสงคราม ตลอดจนความทุกข์ยากลำบาก และเพื่อที่จะให้เกิดการปรับเปลี่ยนสภาพความขัดแย้งกันระหว่างวัฒนธรรมจีนและไทย ตลอดจนการขาดตอนทางวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งการยกระดับสถานะทางสังคมของชาวขีนโพ้นทะเลในประเทศไทย ชาวจีนและนักประพันธ์จีนซึ่งอาศัยในประเทศไทย ได้เคยพยายามอย่างมากในการศึกษาวิเคราะห์และค้นหาสาเหตุที่ก่อให้เกิดปัญหา และพบว่าการกอบกู้ชาติและการให้การศึกษาความรู้ขั้นพื้นฐานแก่ประชาชนนั้น เป็นสองเรื่องที่มีความสำคัญในประวัติศาสตร์ อย่างไรก็ตาม เนื่องจากการศึกษามีองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญสองประการ คือ ทางด้านปฏิบัติและทางด้านทฤษฎี ดังนั้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นยุคสมัยใด การศึกษาล้วนได้รับความสนใจจากผู้คน อีกทั้งในอดีต ได้นำเอาเรื่องการศึกษามาเป็นข่องทางที่ทำให้สามารถบรรลุเป้าหมายทางประวัติศาสตร์จึงอาจกล่าวได้ว่า การศึกษาสามารถช่วยชาติได้ การศึกษาคือความใฝ่ฝันของแต่ละบุคคล ของวงศ์ตระกูลของชาวจีนโพ้นทะเล ตลอดจนของประชาชนโดยทั่วไป ด้วยเหตุนี้เอง นวนิยายและเรื่องสั้นการศึกษา จึงคงยืนหยัดอยู่เคียงกับประวัติวรรณกรรมภาษาจีนในประเทศไทย ดังนั้นการได้อ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์วรรณกรรมเหล่านี้ ไม่เพียงแต่เพื่อเป็นการให้เข้าใจถึงประวัติศาสตร์ด้านการศึกษาของชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลในประเทศไทย ที่สำคัญคือ ทำให้ได้เข้าใจอย่างลึกซึ่งถึงจิตวิญญาณที่ไม่เคยมอดดับ ตลอดนับร้อยปีที่ผ่านมาของชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลในประเทศไทยได้เป็นอย่างดี แม้ว่านวนิยายและเรื่องสั่นการศึกษาที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวรรณกรรมภาษาจีนในประเทศไทยซึ่งได้ปรากฏขึ้นมาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2483 แล้วก็ตาม แต่การศึกษาวิจัยเกี่ยวกับเรื่องดัวกล่าวเกิดขึ้นค่อนข้างช้าและยังคงมีน้อยมาก ถึงแม้มีบางส่วนได้มีการตีพิมพ์ออกมาบ้าง แต่ส่วนมากจะเป็นเพียงการศึกษาวิจัยกรณีศึกษาระหว่างนักประพันธ์และตัวบทประพันธ์เท่านั้น สำหรับในประเทศไทยวรรณกรรมการศึกษาที่เป็นภาษาจีน และการพัฒนการศึกษาของชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลซึ่งมีภูมิหลังเดียวกัน กล่าวคือ ในช่วงยุคปัจจุบัน โดยเฉพาะตั้งแต่เกิดเหตุการณ์การเคลื่อนไหว เพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางวัฒนธรรมในประเทศจีน เมื่อวันที่ 4 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2462 เป็นต้นมา ทำให้มีการผสมผสานกันและการขัดแย้งกันระหว่างวัฒนธรรมจีนและวัฒนธรรมตะวันตก รวมถึงระหว่างวัฒนธรรมจีนและวัฒนธรรมไทย ส่งผลให้บทบาททางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมของชาวจีน ตลอดจนชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลมีการเปลียนแปลงอย่างมากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นนวนิยายและเรื่องสั้นการศึกษาที่เป็นภาษาจีนในประเทศไทย หรือการศึกษาของชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลสมัยใหม่ แท้จริงแล้วล้วนเป็นผลิตผลจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมและวัฒนธรรมในช่วงดังกล่าวทั้งสิ้น ทั้งนี้ สืบเนื่องจากวรรณกรรมและการศึกษา ต่างได้รับการพัฒนามาจากแหล่งกำเนิดเดียวกัน และต่างก็ได้รับอิทธิพลจากพหุวัฒนธรรมซื่งสืบทอดกันมาตั้งแต่สมัยโบราณจนเปลี่ยนมาเป็นสมัยปัจจุบัน สิ่งที่เห็นได้ชัด คือ การรับอิทธิพลจากประวัติศาสตร์ ทำให้วัฒนธรรมและการศึกษามีความเชื่อมสัมพันธ์กันอย่างลึกซึ้ง ดังที่นักการศึกษาที่มีชื่อเสียงท่านหนึ่งของประเทศจีน ซึ่งมีนามว่า เย่เซิงเถา ได้กล่าวไว้ว่า "วรรณกรรมก็คือการศึกษา" วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ ได้ศึกษาวิจัยเกี่ยวกับประเด็นเนื้อหาการอบรมสั่งสอนในครอบครัว ภายใต้ภูมิหลังวัฒนธรรมข้างต้น ซึ่งได้แบ่งวิทยานิพนธ์ออกเป็นสี่ส่วนดังนี้ บทนำ อธิบายถึงความเป็นมา ภูมิหลัง และความสำคัญของหัวข้อวิจัย รวมถึงสภาพปัจจุบันของหัวข้อวิจัย มุมมองของการวิจัย และการให้นิยามคำศัพท์ภายใต้แนวคิดที่เกี่ยวข้อง บทที่ 1 จากมุมมองและการเชื่อมสัมพันธ์กันระหว่างวรรรกรรมและการศึกษา ได้นำเนื้อหาสาระในนวนิยายและเรื่องสั่นการศึกษาที่เป็นภาษาจีนในประเทศไทย ซึ่งได้แฝงแนวคิดเรื่องการอบรมสั่งสอนในครอบครัวมาสรุป อีกทั้งในมุมกลับ ทำให้มองเห็นถึงทัศนคติของนักประพันธ์ที่มีต่อแนวคิดด้านการอบรมสั่งสอนในครอบครัวอีกด้วย บทที่ 2 วิเคราะห์ปัญหาการอบรมสั่งสอนในครอบครัว จากนวนิยายและเรื่องสั้นการศึกษาที่เป็นภาษาจีนในประเทศไทยตลอดจนวิเคราะห์ถึงสาเหตุในการเกิดปัญหาอีกด้วย บทที่ 3 วิเคราะห์สาเหตุของปัญหาการอบรมสั่งสอนบุตรในครอบครัวจากรายละเอียดในนวนิยายและเรื่องสั่น ตลอดจนเป็นกรณีศึกษา เพื่อนำมาประยุกต์ใช้กับคนรุ่นหลัง สุดท้ายได้กล่าวถึงคุณค่าทางประวัติศาสตร์ เกี่ยวกับนวนิยายและเรื่องสั้นด้านการอบรมสั่งสอนในครอบครัวที่เป็นภาษาจีนในประเทศไทย และขณะเดียวกัน ได้ให้ข้อเสนอแนะบางประการเพื่อจุดประกายในการอบรมสั่งสอนในชีวิตครอบครัวยุคปัจจุบัน

The history of the 20th century is filled with blood and fire, suffering and struggle. In order to completely change contradictions and faults between Chinese culture and Thai culture, including raising the status of overseas Chinese in Thailand, Chinese and Chinese authors in Thailand had worked very hard to search for the causes of the problems and found that salvation and giving elementary education to people are the two key points of the history. However, since the nature of education comprises with two main factors, practice and theory, therefore education is widely interested by the people at all time. In the past, it was used as a tool to achieve the historic objectives. It is said that education helps us save the nation. Education is a dream of each individual, of the family, of the overseas Chinese including of the people in the nation. For this reason, Chinese education novels and short stories still exists in Thailand's Chinese literature history. Re-reading these works made us understand the history of education of overseas Chinese in Thailand in the past hundred years and also be able to deeply understand their soul in that period. Though in Thailand the early novels and short stories of family education in Chinese literary works alreadly appeared in 1940s, but the research work began much later. Besides, there were very few. Although some of the works being published but mostly was just the analysis of the authors' works. However, in Thailand, the education novels and short stories in Chinese literature and the development of the Chinese education of overseas Chinese have a common historic background especially since the New Culture movement in May 4, 1919 had lead to a big crash between Chinese and Western culture, also between Chinese and Thai culture. The consequence is social status and culture of Chinese both in mainland and overseas had changed drastically, especially in the areas of education novels, short stories and contemporary education for overseas Chinese. The fact is that all the changes came from the movement in that period. Due to the Chinese education novels, short stories and education are developed from the same root and are influenced by a long established multi-culture, especially from history, then develop into today modernity resulting the culture and education have a very close linkage. It is just as well-known Chinese educator, Ye Shengtao said: "Literature is education." This paper attempts to give a simple analysis of Chinese education novels and short stories in Thailand based on this special cultural background. The thesis is divided into four parts as follows: Introduction: The introduction will provide the basis on which the subject is chosen, the research background and research significance, the status quo of the research on this subject and the point of view of this research. In addition, it also defines the relevant concepts. Chapter I summarizes the thoughts of family education in Chinese novels and short stories which combine view points of literature and education, including the hidden purposes regarding family education. On the other side, reflects the attitude of authors' toward family education. Chapter II analyzes the problems of family education from Chinese education novels and short stories written in Thailand and further analyzes the causes of the problems. Chapter III analyzes the problems of educated children in the family from cases in the novels and short stories which we can apply them to our real life. Finally the paper fully affirms the historical value of Chinese education novels and short stories in Thailand. Meanwhile, it brings about some enlightenment to contemporary family education which is given by Chinese education novels and short stories in Thailand.

20 世纪的历史是一部充满血与火、苦难与抗争的历史,为了彻底改变中国文化与泰国文化中的矛盾和断层,以及泰国华侨的地位,泰国华侨及泰国华文文学的作家们曾进行过艰难的探索和斗争,救亡和启蒙始终是历史的两大支点。由于教育具有实践和理论的双重性质,所以无论是在什么时代都为人们所关注,并把其作为实现历史目标的重要途径,从某种意义上说,教育救国,通过教育实现个人的、家族的梦想,是华人华侨甚至是所有人民百年不灭的一场梦。正因为如此,教育小说一直在泰国华文文学史上绵绵不绝,重新解读这些作品,不仅可以深入了解百年泰国华侨教育史,更重要的是能够深入了解百年泰国华侨的心灵史。 尽管泰华文学中的教育小说早在20世纪40年代就已出现,但研究工作开始却晚。专门研究泰华文学中教育小说的论文可谓微乎其微,当然也有零星的文章发表,但就这些而言,多数也只是作家与文本个案研究。而泰华文学教育小说和泰国华侨教育的发展有着一个共同的历史背景,这就是近代以来,特别是五四新文化运动以来中西、中泰文化的大交汇、大冲撞,以及在这一交汇与冲撞中的华人华侨角色及社会、文化的转型。无论是泰华教育小说还是泰国华人华侨现代教育其实都是这一社会及文化转型的产物。由于文学和教育的渊源关系,他们在这一转型的过程中既共同承担了多元文化由传统向现代转换的历史责任,又不可避免地相互之间产生着巨大的历史影响,使文学与教育联姻,如中国著名的教育家叶圣陶所 言:“文学就是教育”。 本文也正是试图在这种文化背景之上对泰华教育小说中的家庭教育内容加以简论,论文主要分为四个部分: 引言:论述选题依据、研究背景和研究意义,论题的研究现状,本研究的视角,并且对相关概念进行了界定。 第一章从文学与教育结合的角度对泰华教育小说中家庭教育思想进行了概括,从而反观了泰华教育小说作家们所表达的家庭教育观念。第二章首先分析了泰华教育小说中所存在的家庭教育问题,然后对产生这些问题的原因进行了分析。第三章具体地分析了泰华教育小说中家庭子女教育问题在指导策略上给我们的启示,最后在充分肯定泰华教育小说的历史价值的同时,谈了泰华教育小说对当代家庭教育的几点启示。
