清水祖师信仰与泰国闽籍华侨华人

Abstract

摘要:清水祖师是东南亚华人福建社群集中信奉的神灵。论文试图以文献分析的方法厘清清水祖师是如何由真实的历史人物演变为地方保护神的;以人类学的方法界定了清水祖师信仰是属于文化小传统的具有分散性宗教色彩的民间信仰。清水祖师的信仰是凝聚福建籍移民社群的精神纽带,顺兴宫则是泰国闽籍华侨华人公共聚会和处理公共事务的场所,海外华人保留的完整民间信俗对祖籍国文化反哺也具有重要的意义。

Qingshui monk is the famous god who worshiped by the immigrants came from Fujian in Southeast Asia. This thesis attempted to describe the process of the transformation of Qingshui monk from a historical personage to regional patron god. And this thesis also wanted to define the belief of Qingshui monk is a kind of folk belief belonged to diffused religion, and it also is a part of cultural little tradition by anthropological method. The belief of Qingshui monk is the ligament which hold the immigrants from Fujian together. Shunxinggong is the most important public venue and religious site of the immigrants from Fujian, and it has important cultural significance in cultural regurgitation-feeding to their native country.
