This study first analyzes the distributional features and developmental trends of spatial dimensional morphemes across different proficiency levels, as outlined in the TCFL vocabulary syllabus. It also undertakes a systematic examination of the organizational structure and syntactic distribution of relevant lexical items within the HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus. Building on these analyses, the paper conducts an in-depth corpus-based investigation into common errors made by second-language learners at Huachiew Chalemprakiet University in their use of spatial adjectives. Special emphasis is placed on two prevalent error types. substitution errors and addition errors. Through a detailed exploration of these patterns, the study seeks to reveal their specific linguistic manifestations and underlying cognitive causes, thereby offering theoretical insight and practical guidance for both instruction and learning. Based on the findings, the paper proposes targeted strategies for improvement across three key domains: teaching methodology, learner strategies, and textbook design, with the overarching goal of enhancing the quality and effectiveness of TCFL practices.
