บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษามุมมองในการเลือกคู่ของสาวโสดไทยสมัยใหม่โดยใช้แนวคิดการศึกษาวาทกรรมผ่าน กลวิธีนําเสนอทางภาษาของสาวโสดในรายการ Take Me Out Thailand ผลการวิจัยพบว่ามีมุมมองในการเลือกคู่ 6 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ 1) ผู้หญิงยุคใหม่มีสิทธิ์เลือกและตัดสินใจได้ 2) รูปลักษณ์และความดึงดูดทางกายภาพมีความสําคัญมากตาอการเลือกคู่ 3) การเลือกคู่กลายเป็นกระบวนการที่ต้องผ่านการให้เหตุผลและการอธิบายต่อสาธารณะอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ 4) สาวโสดไทยอยู่ในฐานะผู้มีอํานาจในการนิยาม “ความรักที่เหมาะสม” ด้วยตนเอง 5) การเลือกคู่ในรายการเป็นกระบวนการต่อรองระหว่างอุดมคติทางศีลธรรมกับความเป็นจริงทางสังคม 6) ผู้เลือกพิจารณาอนาคตและบริบททางสังคมควบคู่ไปกับความรู้สึกส่วนบุคคลมุมมองเหล่านี้สะท้อนผ่านกลวิธีทางภาษาได้แก่ การใช้คําศัพท์การใช้ประโยคแบบต่างๆ การใช้ความเปรียบ การใช้ทัศนภาวะ การใช้มูลบท การใช้คําถามเชิงวาทศิลป์ การใช้คําคมและคําพูดที่น่าสนใจ โดยส่งผ่านชุดความคิดเรื่องการเลือกคู่ไปยังผู้รับสารในสังคม สะท้อนมุมมองการใช้ชีวิตของสาวโสดไทยยุคปัจจุบัน
This study examines the perspectives of modern Thai single women in choosing a partner using a discourse study approach through the linguistic strategies of single women on the show Take Me Out Thailand. The research findings reveal six characteristics of partner selection: 1) Modern women assert the right to choose and decide; 2) Physical appearance and attractiveness play a significant role in partner selection; 3) Partner selection has become an unavoidable process of justification and public explanation; 4) Thai single women are in a position of power to define “appropriate love” for themselves; 5) Partner selection on the show is a negotiation process between moral ideals and social reality; and 6) Participants consider the future and social context alongside personal feelings. These perspectives are reflected through linguistic strategies, including vocabulary, various sentence structures, metaphors, perspectives, pretexts, rhetorical questions, and catchy phrases, conveying these ideas about partner selection to the audience in society, and reflecting the lifestyles of contemporary Thai single women.
