บทความนี้เป็นการวิเคราะห์ข้อดีและข้อด้อยของอักษรประสมแบบบอกรูปและเสียง (形 声字) เป็นอักษรประสมที่ประกอบด้วยส่วนบอกรูป (ความหมาย) และส่วนบอกเสียง (เสียงอ่าน) สองส่วน ซึ่งเป็นรูปแบบหนึ่งของการสร้างอักษรจีน 6 ชนิดด ชนิด (六 书) ปัจจุบันอักษรรูปชนิดนี้มีจำนวนมากกว่าร้อยละ 80 ของอักษรที่ใช้บ่อย ข้อดีคือส่วนประกอบบอกรูปหรือบอกความหมาย (义旁) (ที่ได้จัดเป็นหมวดหมู่ความหมาย เรียกว่าหมวดคำ) ทำให้รู้ความหมายของอักษรตัวนั้น ๆ และส่วนประกอบบอกเสียง (声 旁) จะช่วยให้สามารถเดาเสียงอ่านหรืออ่านเสียงได้ใกล้เคียง ข้อด้อยคือ ส่วนบอกเสียงแม้ว่าจะสามารถช่วยในการเดาเสียงอ่านได้ แต่ความแม่นยำมีเพียงร้อยละ 33 เท่านั้น มีอักษระที่แสดงเสียงอ่านยังไม่เป็นระบบ เพราะเสียงอ่านเดียวกันมีอักษรหลากหลายที่ใช้เป็นส่วนบอกเสียง ยากต่อการจำ ประการที่ 3 คือ การเดาเสียงอ่านของส่วนประกอบบอกเสียงจำเป็นต้องรู้เสียงอ่านของอักษรโครงสร้างเดี่ยวจำนวนมาก จึงจะสามารถเดาเสียงอ่านได้ อย่างไรก็ตามอักษรชนิดนี้มีความสำคัญและมีแนวโน้มในการสร้างใหม่ที่ใช้ในปัจจุบัน (อักษรรูปย่อ) เพิ่มขึ้น การเข้าใจลักษณะเด่นของอักษรชนิดนี้จะช่วยให้ผู้สอนหรือผู้เรียนเข้าใจความหมายและสามารถอ่านเสียงได้ ซึ่งจะช่วยให้ผู้เรียนและผู้สอนมีหลักการในการจดจำอักษรจีนได้ง่ายและรวดเร็วยิ่งขึ้น
This article is an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the phonogram or pictophonetic words (声 字) is a compound word that consists of one part which represents the picture or image, which indicates the meaning of the words (Meaning), and the other part will indicate about the pronunciation of the word (Reading Sound). These two parts are the form of creating 6 kinds of Chinese characters, which is (六 书). Nowadays, this type of font has more than 80 percent of the most commonly used characters. The advantage is that the components indicate the shape or the meaning (义符) (which has been classified as a meaningful category, and called the word category) makes people know the meaning of that word. And the components which indicate the pronunciation (声符） are able to help guess the pronunciation or read the similar sound. The disadvantage is that although the pronunciation section can help in guessing the sound, the accuracy is only 33 percent. Although the sound can be guessed, there is still a lot more percent of accuracy need to be improved. However, most of them are not able to pronounce like the pronunciation part. The second thing is the words which can indicate the reading sound are still not in a good system. Because of the same reading sound have various characters that are used to tell the sound, and it is difficult to remember. The third thing is guessing the pronunciation of the component which can indicate of pronunciation is a must to know the pronunciation of the single structure letters a lots, in order to guess the pronunciation. However, this type of font is important and has a tendency to create more characters which are currently existed (abbreviation). Understanding the characteristics of this type of font will help the instructor or learner to understand the meaning, and can read the sound. Moreover, it will help learners and instructors have the principle of remembering the Chinese characters in an easier and faster way.
